You've never seen a car do this...

Technological developments was never able unstoppable, one that is particularly interesting this time is omni-directional tires, which can propel the car in all directions. Although only a prototype, but this is a remarkable discovery.
Pioneering inventor Matthiew Liddiard has created a game-changing set of car wheels which can rotate full-circle on the spot. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1bk5Kv)
A Canadian pionering inventor, William Liddiard was the one who managed to find the omni-directional tire technology for this car. The tires along with rims created by Liddiard, it can make the car rotate 360 degrees and can be shifted laterally to left and right.

He also claimed to spent the money up to US. $61 thousand or equivalent to Rp.800 million to develop and filed the patent of this tire. And the Liddiard Wheels, is the name given by the inventor of this tire product.
Liddiard hopes to soon sell the invention to a large company like Honda. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1bk5Kv)
This revolutionary tires were recently launched in London, England. How this tire works till it could be roll up into. Thanks to the help of external motors made this omnidirectional tires can perform these movements.

When the motors activated and the car's tires slid sideways in the speed just 1 mile per hour. Of course this is very useful, for example, at the time of going to park the car. The driver who use these tires do not have to bother anymore while trying to parallel park
.
Liddiard said, if the tires are made to have a design that can be used on any terrain. So far these innovative products only reached the prototype stage. Although later the tires can be mass produced, but Liddiard claimed quite hassles. Due to grow these businesses need big capital.
"I would love to see a big company to take over and run it. They can bring it to market more effectively and more quickly than I can. But I will not stop," he said further.

And then he estimate the cost for each unit of the tire reached US. $1,541 or equivalent to Rp.20 million. The prices may change, depending on the size of tire and vehicle. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CNBC | EXPRESS]

Scientists claimed able to predict the death?

Death is an inevitable phase of life. Most people accept the coming of death as a mystery. However, some scientists are not. A group of scientists researching the pace of life a living creature. And now, they claim to have successfully predicted the death with an accuracy of 80 percent.

During this time, biologists assume only two basic phases of life, childhood and adulthood. Childhood indicated by the rapid growth and development. As well as low mortality rates in this phase.
Can we predict when we will die? (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1bk32Z)
Meanwhile, adulthood is marked by sexual maturity. The mortality rates are also low because adolescence is the best time and usually living things produce heredity. In adolescence, the body begins to ripen. The aging initially slowly but gradually accelerated. Every year the mortality potential is increased.

Laurence Mueller and Michael Rose, the two of biologists from the University of California at Irvine conducted a study on the fruit flies Drosophila to unravel the mystery of death.
Fruit flies reveal when they are about to die. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1bk2S0)
"We took 2,828 female flies and put each of these flies with two male flies in a bottle," said Mueller was quoted as saying on the BBC Earth on Wednesday, June 22, 2016.

Every day, scientists move the female flies to a new bottle and counted the number of eggs produced. They conducted an experiment for several weeks until the flies die. Indeed, the age of flies are only a few weeks.

Initially, the study results was disappointing. Scientists did not find anything worthwhile. However, when the scientists looked at the data more closely, they realized there was something different before it dies.

"I noticed the difference in the fertility rates between the females will die with females who still have a lifetime of a few weeks," said Mueller.

In simple terms the female flies experienced the declining fertility rates on two weeks before it died. It is seen from the number of eggs produced each day. The decline rates occurred regardless of age. For example, the flies that lived 60 days and being went to its death as well as 15 day old flies equally experienced the fertility declining before it died.

The fertility declining rates also experienced by a stud. Mueller said the male flies were lose their ability to fertilize the female shortly before death.

Through the study, scientists showed the phase of life that has not been known so far, ie the final phase of life called "death spiral".

The death prediction in the fruit flies were finally done on the basis of the number of eggs produced by the females. Mueller and Rose could predict the death with an accuracy of 80 percent three days before the death.

Differences of opinion
In addition to Mueller and Rose, James Curtsinger, a scientist from the University of Minnesota also examines the relationship of fertility and mortality on the fruit flies.

However Curtsinger have a different opinion with the results of Mueller and Rose. Curtsinger mention that the research on the fruit flies is not an evidence of the final phase of life. He did not believe the human and the species other than the fruit flies will experience the fertility declined before death. Curtsinger also argued, "death spiral" is ambiguous and unclear.

Curtsinger propose a more appropriate terminology to describe the decline of fertility on the fruit flies, ie "stop". Stages that began when the flies no longer able to produce eggs. As an illustration, the fruit flies will lay as many as 1,200 pieces throughout its life. If in a day the flies do not lay eggs, it could be an indication if something is wrong.

Apart from Curtsinger opinion, Mueller maintains if the people who will die in a natural way will experience a "death spiral". Once aware of these phases, we then can figure out a way to prevent the "death spiral" phase is too long and torturous.

"It would be an interesting thing to observe how the shortening the 'death spiral' phase so that we can be as healthy as anyone else until shortly before died," Mueller said. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BBC]

Eak decided to black out the front forks, swap out the original bars with CNC clip on units, and fab up some new side, custom made side panels.

Thousand of bird fossils of Cretaceous period found intact

Two new fossil shows a specimen of a small bird wings trapped in amber - the fossilized tree resin - which had been outstanding for more than 100 million years. These findings carried by the international team of researchers, including Professor Mike Benton from Bristol University, published in the journal Nature Communications.
Scientists have unearthed the remains of thousands of prehistoric animals frozen for millions of years in amber. The remarkable fossils include birds from the time of the dinosaurs, whose perfectly preserved feathers show little change in the blueprint used by birds today. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1bkBR9)
Benton said, the specimen was obtained from well-known amber deposits in northeast Myanmar, which has been producing thousands of specimens of insects of all shapes and sizes, as well as spiders, scorpions, lizards, and bird feathers. However, the invention becomes the first of the bird parts was found intact.

As quoted of the Daily Mail on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, the fossil of wings have two to three centimeters long and has a wing frame, including claws and feathers preserved very detailed in amber.
Two of the specimens include the tiny preserved wings of birds, whose bodies were caught in the sticky sap of a tree almost 100 million years ago. Pictured is one of the specimens under UV, showing the flow lines of the sap and the structure of he wing. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1bkBR9)
Anatomy of the claw fossil shows that it is an enantiornithine bird that became a large group in the Cretaceous period. But the species was extinct along with the dinosaurs at 66 million years ago.

"The fossil of wings shows incredible detail," said Benton.

"Each strand of fur shows each filament, there is even a trace of color - in the form of spots and stripes," he explained.

The researcher leader, Dr Xing Lida of the China University of Geosciences, also commented on the discovery of fossils of the bird's wing.

"The fact that the birds are climbing in the trees show they have advanced development, which means they are ready to move as soon as they hatch," said Xing.

"(After hatching) This bird is not just waiting in the nest to be fed, but they look for their own food and die, perhaps because of its small size and lack of experience," he explained.

The amber deposits of Myanmar produced a treasure trove of fossils from prehistoric times. The fossils also document the evolution of terrestrial life in the Cretaceous period. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DAILY MAIL]
