HaptoClone: A Holographic Technology That Can be Touched

Future TECH - Researchers from the Shinoda & Makino Lab at the University of Tokyo, Japan, have developed a groundbreaking hologram technology that allows for tangible interactions. Named HaptoClone (short for Haptic-Optical Clone), this innovation aims to enhance the realism of holographic communication.

The technology supports an interactive system known as "telehaptic," which enables users to send multi-dimensional hand or facial gestures to friends. Beyond merely visualizing holographic images, recipients can now experience tactile sensations through devices that support the telehaptic system.
The researchers of Shinoda Lab at the University of Tokyo, Japan have developed a machine that replicates real objects as holograms and lets you touch them. (Picture from: IBTimes)
HaptoClone is particularly well-suited for integration with Virtual Reality (VR) or Augmented Reality (AR) projects. For example, with VR glasses on, one can virtually sense touching a lion while observing it at a zoo.

The functionality of HaptoClone relies on sensors that can instantly capture and interpret kinetic movements. Additionally, the system incorporates four ultrasound sensors that emit ultrasonic radiation pressure, creating the illusion of genuine physical contact with a person or object. The researchers are committed to further developing the haptic capabilities to enrich human communication.

The possibilities seem endless, and in the near future, this technology could revolutionize video chats by allowing users to experience the sensation of touching the person on the other end. It's truly a remarkable advancement in the field of holographic technology.
With ongoing research and development, HaptoClone holds the potential to bridge the gap between virtual and real-world experiences, making holographic interactions more immersive and engaging than ever before. The researchers at the Shinoda & Makino Lab are eager to explore the full extent of this technology's capabilities, pushing the boundaries of communication as we know it. Exciting times await us as we venture into this new era of tangible holograms. *** [EKA [07012016] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | SHINODA-MAKINO LAB | GIZMODO | IBTIMES ]

The modern "Noah's Ark" was built to find solutions Our Earth's climate change

Safe FUTURE Reportedly, there's a giant vessel was being built and even some parties dubbed it as the incarnation of Noah's Ark. Why is that? Perhaps they saw the purpose of this vessel being built to save lives as the real Noah's Ark did.
A proposed ship aims to merge luxury and scientific research, by crewing it with climate scientists and the wealthy in a daring quest to save the planet called the Earth 300. (Picture from: AutoEvolution)
This giant vessel is and called the Earth 300 and planned to be a research ship used by scientists to find solutions to climate change that can threaten life on Earth. This vessel designed to accommodate up to 160 scientists whose gathered from all over the world to conduct joint research by utilizing the advanced technology attached on the ship.
Suitably futuristic, Earth 300 features a contemporary shape with a pared-down conceptual language and an aerodynamic form. (Picture from: AutoEvolution)
Then who's the man behind this enermous giant vessel building project? The originator of the idea as well as the shipbuilder is the Gibraltarian-born, Singapore-based entrepreneur named Aaron Oliviera is assisted by many parties with various backgrounds from all over the world and hopes that the Earth 300 giant vessel can attract public attention to science and especially about climate change."This ship is designed to capture people's attention as well as their hearts and imaginations. If we want to make big changes, we need the help of people of all ages, ages, backgrounds and all kinds of intelligence," he said.
The Earth 300 vessel’s most striking feature, however, is its “science sphere”, chosen to resemble Earth. (Picture from: DesignWanted)
Furthermore, this research vessel run by a multinational company under the same name of the Earth300 with goals as an historical environmental initiative to ring the ecological alarm on a global scale and inspire a new brand of planetary vanguard. As written on its official sites; "We love life and want to ensure that humanity survives in the future."

As seen as the appearance, the Earth 300 is an enermous giant emission-free nuclear powered vessel with 22 state-of-the-art laboratories. It is almost 500 meters long and consists of 13 levels, and has futuristic design with a unique rounded building in the middle.
The Earth 300 vessel includes an observation deck that appears delicately balanced on the ship’s top, a 46-metre beam and a helicopter pad. (Picture from: DesignWanted)

Here's the fusion nuclear powered 'Flying Hotel' designed to carry 5,000 passengers and almost flying permanently

Continue to Dream There is an interesting phenomenon that has bothered us (perhaps you) related to life in today's modern era where we seem to live to always be close to something controversial and invite pros and cons. As recently there was an ambitious flying hotel design named 'Sky Cruise' being designed for the future transportation rides and entertaiment of humans on Earth which had gone viral and reaped many pros and cons opinions.
The 'Sky Cruise' monster aircraft designed by Hashem Alghaili would remain aloft almost permanently. (Picture from: DailyStar)
The mentioned flying hotel that is being designed is a gigantic aeroplane that is claimed to be able to carry 5,000 passengers in unparalleled luxury. Thus, the previous record regarding the world's largest aircraft today held by the Stratolaunch ROC soon be shifted to if it could become into reality.
The 'Sky Cruise' monster aircraft designed to have 20 engines powered by nuclear fusion, and all aircraft maintenance or even repairing processes also designed to be carried out in the sky. (Picture from: Dream.co.id)
Uniquely, the Sky Cruise was designed to fly several years in the sky, and never to land, meanwhile all its guest occupants would be transported by the conventional aircrafts to and from this flying hotel. For that the plane designed to have 20 engines powered by nuclear fusion, and all aircraft maintenance or even repairing processes also designed to be carried out in the sky. More surprisingly, the plane was not piloted by humans, but Artificial Intelligence aka robots.
The 'Sky Cruise' monster aircraft designed by Hashem Alghaili would dwarf any existing plane. (Picture from: DailyStar)
Hashem Alghaili, tthe creator of the highly detailed mockup of those gigantic plane, said that this kind of nuclear-powered aerocruise plane could be the transportation rides of the future. "I believe the plane will be completely autonomous," Alghaili said, as quoted of Dailystar. Although it designed to fly without any human pilot, the Sky Cruise still needs a lot of staffs to serve the guests on board.
The design shows off luxury rooms inside the 'Sky Cruise' monster aircraft, which is described as a perfect wedding venue. (Picture from: DailyStar)
In the promotional video, you can see a variety of promising facilities, ranging of restaurants and giant shopping centers in the sky, to a gym, theater, and even a swimming pool. Furthermore, the giant plane is said to be very suitable as a perfect wedding venue as well.
The 'Sky Cruise' monster aircraft promises restaurants and a giant shopping mall in the sky, as well as gyms, theatres, and even a swimming pool. (Picture from: DailyStar)
However, not everyone agrees with this ambitious plan. Some commentators are described that the Sky Cruise concept as the 'new Titanic,' and gave some criticism. Such as, it appears in the design that the plane has several elevators outside of the plane, so it is considered not very aerodynamic. In addition, there are concerns that if a nuclear reactor-powered plane crashes which could be potentialy destroyed a city.
Although many have been wowed by the 'Sky Cruise' monster aircraft, the design has been questioned by some. (Picture from: DailyStar)
In various discussions under the promotional video upload, netizens suspect that if this project is really realized, it will require very large funds. Even a financially-savvy YouTube commenter chipped in; "While this is interesting concept and its is capable to built it with current technology, this thing would be super expensive and no doubt only rich would be able to book this hotel." Let's take a look its video below;
And in our opinion, this flying hotel idea of Hashem Alghaili is very difficult to realize in the near future due to design and finance matters, so that more in-depth feasibility study is needed. There's still a long way to go. Nevertheless, keep on dreaming, but most important thing is not to forget give also some hopes to other had to see the dream comes true.👍 *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DAILYSTAR ]

ELVIS gives the new hopes of the blinds able to see

The Blind's HOPES Maybe many of us have ever watched many science-fiction movies such 'Star Wars: The Old Republic' that feature individuals who use technologically advanced implants in the head that are connected to the sense of sight so that they can provide above average vision capability to the user. Thank God maybe not far from now this kind of technology soon become a reality, thanks to the brain implant technology researches carried out by scientists from around the world nearly have the positive results.
The man featured in the 'Star Wars: The Old Republic' movie whose use technologically advanced implants in the head that are connected to the sense of sight so that they can provide above average vision capability to the user. (Picture from: Starwars.Fandom)
One of such as researches carried out by Russian scientists at the ‘Sensor-Tekh’ laboratory and the Foundation For the Support of the Deaf and Blind - ‘So-edinenie’ to develop the first neural brain implant technology that can provide vision for those who have lost their sense of sight or those who are born blind called ELVIS. Indeed, the name accompanies this advanced technology heard so unique, and immediately remind us of the King of Rock'n Roll, Elvis Presley. Giving such name to this device has nothing to do with the famous American artist, but is an acronym for ELectronic VISion.
The Russian scientists at the 'Sensor-Tekh' laboratory and the Foundation For The Support of the Deaf and Blind-'So-edinenie' developed a neural brain implant called ELVIS that could provide vision to people who have lost sight. (Picture from: RussiaBeyond)
While if we've seen from its shape, this tool looks like one of the head devices in the 'Cyberpunk 2077' video game that can provide additional capabilities for its users. As quoted of Russia Beyond, this advanced device has been presented at the Skolkovo Innovation Center, Moscow around June 2021 ago.
The ELVIS technology could be worked after the doctor managed to implant the device into the cerebral cortex or the part of the brain functioned as a sensory information center and decision-making region for motoric output. (Picture from: RussiaBeyond)
Not known yet the results. If it's according to plan, then the technology will be implemented on blind people around the world to get vision starting in 2027. It could be one proof that such a kind of the science fiction devices also able to realize into the real world. As quoted of the Russia Beyond, the ELVIS technology could be worked after the doctor managed to implant the device into the cerebral cortex or the part of the brain functioned as a sensory information center and decision-making region for motoric output.
The ELVIS implant device works by using electrodes as a connector to the brain parts that function to control the vision. (Picture from: RussiaBeyond)
According to researchers of the Sensor-Tech Laboratory related how the ELVIS implant device works by using electrodes as a connector to the brain parts that function to control the vision. Later, the patients for several months will be given a headband equipped with a camera that can send images directly to the brain not through the eyes. Furthermore, this Russian-made brain implant is said would be very suitable for people aged between 24 to 65 years because it requires a fully formed adult brain (so the children are not allowed to use it), and also should be replaced in every 10 years with the new ones.
The ELVIS implant device is slated to enter production in 2027 with the initial cost for operation processes and installation of the camera are estimated RUS Ruble 10 million, or about US $138,000. (Picture from: RussiaBeyond)
And for now, the ELVIS itself is in the animal testing phase and will continue on monkeys. As for humans themselves, the testing will be carried out in 2023 by involving several prevoliously prepared volunteers. This advanced technology is slated to enter production in 2027 with the initial cost for operation processes and installation of the camera are estimated RUS Ruble 10 million, or about US $138,000. Later, after this device is included in the community support and covered by insurance program, might be the cost can reduced by half.
According to the head of the ELVIS project Denis Kuleshov, Director of the Sensor-Tech Laboratory, this Russian-developed brain implant was not the only one in the world, there are about 10 similar studies currently being worked by scientists all over the world. (Picture from: RussiaBeyond)
According to the head of the ELVIS project Denis Kuleshov, Director of the Sensor-Tech Laboratory, this Russian-developed brain implant was not the only one in the world, there are about 10 similar studies currently being worked by scientists all over the world, and one of them with the biggest progress is such currently being worked by a team of researchers from Spain (CORTIVIS), the Netherlands (NESTOR), and Australia (Monash University).
Kuleshov himself explained that the difference between ELVIS and similar other devices has the low offered bionic vision resolution. While the Russian-made ELVIS uses a combination of bionics and artificial intelligence so that the blind can use electronic vision optimally. In addition, the other project uses technology that only projects flashes of light onto the cerebral cortex, while the ELVIS has Artificial Intelegence (AI) working to assist the system in identifying the object, or what it resembles.

"This will also aid our patients at the rehabilitation stage, allowing us to improve the learning process associated with seeing again after the surgery," he adds as qouted of the Russia Beyond. Hopefully this sophisticated devices can be realized soon and able to help millions of blind people get their sight back. What do you think? Feel free to share Your thought about this through the article's comment below.👌*** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ELVIS | SO-EDINENIE | RUSSIA BEYOND ]

Prepared Yourself, Doomsday are near!

DoomsDays Be prepared doomsday are near! Maybe that's the thought that became the basis as well as the idea of the creator of this unique building. Who is he? Larry Hall, a former US government contractor, recently built an unusual and unique residence in the form of an earth scraper building called Survival Condo in a former Atlas missile silo.
The Survival Condo is an inverted skyscraper located somewhere in Central Kansas that seeks to provide shelter for the rich and famous amid a world-ending disaster. (Picture from: SurvivalCondo)
As quoted of The Sun, he came up with the idea in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. Currently Larry Hall has built this unique below surface building somewhere in Central Kansas, United States. And according to the Survival Condo site, they are currently working on the second silo building, after the first one was completed some time ago.
Larry Hall (pictured) came up with the idea in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. (Picture from: Sains.Sindonews)
The mentioned building is like the opposite of a skyscraper, if the skyscrapers that soar high into the sky. This Survival Condo is built by utilizing a silo bunker which is then converted into a building that is embedded into the bowels of the earth, as if clawing at the earth's crust. In addition, the Survival Condo is also made with 9 feet of concrete thicks that's believed to be able to withstand very large shocks caused by blast thermonuclear weapons and even earthquakes.
The original Survival Condo is pictured under construction somewhere in Central Kansas, currently they are building the second building. (Picture from: Sains.Sindonews)
The building was built as deep as 210 feet or 64 meters into the earth. Later the building will be used as a shelter from chaos and mass destruction that occurred on earth as a result of nuclear war, pandemics and others. As Larry Hall told The Sun, "The aim (of this building) is to protect the occupants from various events that have the potential to destroy the earth, from nuclear war, pandemics, meteor attacks to major public chaos."
The original Survival Condo is pictured under construction  somewhere in Central Kansas, currently they are building the second building. (Picture from: SurvivalCondo)
The Survival Condo's withstand is claimed by Larry Hall to be very capable. "This is a luxurious residence building. Resistant to nuclear attack and able to protect its occupants physically and mentally," he continued.
The Survival Condo is an engineering marvel designed for comfortable long-term survival in a former Atlas missile silo. (Picture from: SurvivalCondo)
The building, which is embedded in the bowels of the earth, is able to withstand a 20 kiloton nuclear explosion and those number were that size is equivalent to the nuclear that was dropped by the United States on the Nagasaki region, Japan in 1945 which killed thousands of people.
The Survival Condo goes 210 feet into the Earth's crust and spans 15 stories. (Picture from: Sains.Sindonews)
He said that currently the anti-apocalypse building is equipped with various public facilities, ranging from swimming pools, cinemas, gyms and saunas, to restaurants with the food stocks, he claims to be available for the next 5 years. "Residents are very welcome if they want to bring their own food," he said.
The Survival Condo provided a huge pool facility to keep occupants amused and healthy. (Picture from: SurvivalCondo)
Currently Larry Hall has sold the Survival Condo to the public. One residential unit is sold at a price of US $ 500,000 or Rp. 7.1 billion. For the most luxurious residences or penthouses, he set the price of US $4.5 million or the equivalent of Rp. 64.4 billion. Wow!
The Survival Condo Penthouse units are state of the art in both security and luxury. (Picture from: SurvivalCondo)
The price tags can also be higher for potential residents who want to customize their residence. For example, one Arabian customer chose to install an underground mosque as well as a hidden underground helicopter hanger connected by a tunnel to the unit they live in.
Larry Hall said the demand for the Survival Condo's unit always increases every time a disaster occurs. Including the Covid-19 pandemic which is still ongoing today. "Their awareness to get a safe place to live is very high after Covid-19," he explained. So, are you interested in purchasing a unit at this Survival Condo?  *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | SURVIVAL CONDO | THE SUN  ]

Ancient Boat Found in Punjulharjo: A Relic Older Than Borobudur

Nusantara Maritime Legacy - In the northern coastal region of Java lies Punjulharjo, a village known for its extensive salt ponds that have long provided a livelihood for its residents. For years, the rhythms of this village were dictated by salt production, a seemingly mundane yet essential craft. However, Punjulharjo's quiet reputation transformed overnight into one of historical intrigue following the discovery of an ancient boat skeleton beneath the village soil.
The current condition of the Ancient Boat of Rembang reflects meticulous restoration efforts, ensuring its preservation as a valuable historical artifact and a symbol of Indonesia's rich maritime heritage. (Picture from: Punjulharjo-Rembang.Desa.id)
This extraordinary chapter began on July 26, 2008. While excavating land to expand a salt pond, local villagers unexpectedly unearthed the remains of a wooden vessel at a depth of two meters. The boat, positioned in an east-west orientation, immediately piqued the curiosity of the community. The find quickly captured the attention of archaeologists and cultural preservationists from institutions like the Central Java Archaeological Heritage Conservation Center (Balai Pelestarian Peninggalan Purbakala / BP3), the Yogyakarta Archaeology Center (Balai Arkeologi Yogyakarta), and the Borobudur Heritage Conservation Center (Balai Konservasi Peninggalan Borobudur), the Directorate of Underwater Heritage (Direktorat Peninggalan Bawah Air). These organizations embarked on a meticulous investigation to uncover the story behind the remarkable discovery.
The Ancient Boat of Rembang, carefully restored to preserve its historical significance, stands as a testament to the advanced maritime craftsmanship of its time. (Picture from: Yusuf Ikrom On X)
Initial studies indicated that the boat's construction was characteristic of Nusantara craftsmanship, dispelling theories of its origin being linked to Chinese maritime activities. This was further supported by the identification of its primary material: ironwood, a robust timber sourced from the forests of Borneo. Though speculation initially tied the boat to the Majapahit era, subsequent carbon dating revealed an even older provenance. The results pointed to the 7th century AD, positioning the boat as a relic from a time when Java's ancient Mataram kingdom and Sumatra's Srivijaya empire were beginning to flourish. This dating also places the vessel as centuries older than Borobudur Temple, which emerged in the 9th century AD.
The ancient boat skeleton was found to be in a condition that showcased remarkable structural integrity despite its age, as seen in images captured during its excavation and subsequent restoration. (Picture from: Yusuf Ikrom On X)
The discovery was more than just the wooden framework of an ancient ship. Within the structure, archaeologists uncovered an array of artifacts: the head of a female figure carved in stone, believed to resemble Chinese features, fragments of a wooden stick, skeletal remains, and various kitchen tools. These items hint at the ship’s historical context and the lives it may have touched. The exact purpose of the boat remains a subject of scholarly debate. Its proportionsapproximately 15 meters in length and 5 meters in width—suggest that it might have been a trading vessel capable of enduring long voyages, possibly traversing routes between Java and Sumatra.
The ancient boat skeleton contained a variety of artifacts, including a stone-carved female figure resembling Chinese features, wooden stick fragments, skeletal remains, and kitchen tools. (Picture from: Yusuf Ikrom On X)
The significance of this discovery extends beyond the physical remnants of the boat. It serves as a vivid reminder of the maritime prowess and cultural sophistication that characterized early Javanese civilization. The meticulous craftsmanship and the strategic choice of materials underscore the advanced technological and navigational knowledge possessed by the region's inhabitants. Moreover, the boat's association with significant historical periods such as the early Srivijaya and Mataram eras highlights the interconnectedness of Nusantara’s ancient kingdoms and their role in shaping Southeast Asian history.
The condition of the boat when it was discovered in 2008 was remarkably well-preserved, retaining much of its original structure despite being buried for centuries. (Picture from: Punjulharjo-Rembang.Desa.id)
Acknowledging its significant historical importance, the ancient boat site was officially declared a national cultural heritage on June 22, 2010, under a decree by Indonesia’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism (PM.57/PW.007/MKP/2010). Today, Punjulharjo village embraces a unique dual identity: a thriving salt-producing community and the guardian of a monumental artifact that connects the present to a rich maritime heritage.
For visitors and history enthusiasts, the boat is not just an artifact; it is a tangible link to an era of exploration, trade, and cultural exchange. Punjulharjo’s salt ponds may still shimmer under the sun, but it is the buried treasure from centuries past that truly illuminates this humble village's place in the vast narrative of human history. *** [EKA [03122024] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | YUSUF IKROM ON X | PUNJULHARJO-RENBANG.DESA.ID ]

Did You know what is the Point Nemo?

The area on Earth that is spread out by a vast cluster of islands and oceans, but apparently still holds many certain areas to be still a mystery. One of them is a place that is named "Point Nemo" aka "no one" if translated into Latin. So-called because there's no one who has ever openly touched or arrived at the place because it is located far from the mainland. The name of Nemo is derived from the fictional submarine captain name of Jules Verne's novel entitled "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea."
Point Nemo, a mysterious and remote place on Earth that has not been touched by humans. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2G2mOLb)
As quoted from the Bombastis, when viewed from the map, the place was seen flanked by three continents namely Australia, America (southern part), and Antarctica, so that it seemed very remote and rarely noticed. No wonder the existence of Point Nemo is then used as a convenient "graveyard" for many retired spacecraft or defunct satellites after orbiting in outer space. So, what's the location like?

Point Nemo has become a deserted area that is rarely considered by most humans in the world. As quoted from Allthatsinteresting, the area located at 48°52.6′ South and 123°23.6′ West, even said to be the middle of nowhere because of the characteristic location that is surrounded by more than 1,000 nautical miles in each direction, can arguably the starting point as a place in the ocean far from the mainland. Then, if seen from the facts, there're no one lives close together in the area.
Because it was devoid of human life, then it was made into an unofficial "graveyard" of many defunct satellites and other retired spacecraft. At least 260 spacecraft mostly Russian's have been drowned in peace there. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2G2mOLb)
Because it was devoid of human life, Point Nemo was made into an unofficial "graveyard" of many defunct satellites and other retired spacecraft. For example, Russia's space laboratory, Mir with a weight more of 120 tons was once directed to land in this place in 2001. Then followed by China which also chose the north direction of Point Nemo is the location of the fall of its Tiangong-1 in 2018. In fact, the International Space Station (ISS), which weighs over 420 tons, is also planned to be buried at Nemo Point if it retires in the next 2024.

In the future, Point Nemo will probably no longer be a "graveyard" for retired spacecraft or satellites due to the future space rides will be designed completely burn in the atmosphere. So that Point Nemo will remain as it is, one of the world's most mysterious places. Strange but true is the fitted sentence pinned to give a glance picture of the existence of those mysterious Point Nemo.
Vehicles break up into thousands of pieces before hitting the water. Pictured is the European Space Agency craft Jules Verne during re-entry before landing in Point Nemo in 2008. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2sqaSzz)
The Point Nemo discovered in 1992 by a survey engineer named Hrvoje Lukatela by using a geographic's computer software, which calculates the greatest distance coordinates of three land coordinates that are the same distance. It is very likely that no human has ever crossed those coordinates at all. Even, the inventor had never visited the location of Point Nemo. This remote ocean location is 2,688 kilometers from the nearest mainland - Ducie Island, part of the Pitcairn Islands, to the north; Motu Nui, one of the Easter Islands, to the northeast; and Maher Island, part of Antarctica, to the south.
The Point Nemo discovered in 1992 by a survey engineer named Hrvoje Lukatela by using a geographic's computer software. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2sqaSzz)
Then, one of the mysterious unsolved events to date that has ever taken place in the area around Point Nemo is the mysterious sound of bubbles. At that time in 1997, the world's scientists were surprised when they detected one of the loudest underwater sounds ever recorded near the poles.

The sound later called "The Bloop" was caught by an underwater microphone that was more than 3,000 miles apart. Until now, there has been no further explanation about the sound. Given, the location of Point Nemo which is also remote and rarely visited by humans. As it turns out, some said the Bloop was actually the sound of ice breaking off of Antarctica and not the call of Cthulhu, a kind of sea monster.
Although there is a lot of speculation, there hasn't been any empirical research and visitation yet to gather information about the area. Until now, Point Nemo has only been known as a deserted water area and has not been touched by any human hands. No doubt, Point Nemo has become a mysterious remote place waiting to be revealed. Perhaps, it could be revealed by You someday. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | THE SUN | ALLTHATSINTERESTING]
