One of the most notable creations by RE Amemiya is the Genki 7, a concept car that made its debut at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon. This car was a true representation of RE Amemiya's unique style combined with modern enhancements, all under the expert guidance of the company's founder, Isami Amemiya. The Genki 7's exterior underwent a radical transformation, most notably with the front fascia, which was redesigned to incorporate headlights reminiscent of the Lotus Elise. This aggressive new look was further emphasized by a bumper that featured large intake holes and air dams, giving the car a strikingly bold appearance.

The changes didn't stop at the front. The side profile of the Genki 7 was enhanced with aero spats and hubcaps that seamlessly followed the contours of the wheels, paired with large overfenders that added to the car's muscular stance. The rear of the car was equally impressive, with a new bumper, a diffuser, and a massive carbon fiber wing, all contributing to a more assertive and aerodynamic profile. Isami Amemiya dedicated a significant amount of time to perfecting the design of the Genki 7. His vision extended beyond just the exterior, as he also focused on enhancing the performance of the Mazda RX-7 FD3S's engine. The standard 13B-REW twin-turbo engine, with a displacement of 1308 cc, received modifications aimed at significantly boosting its power output. The engine's apex seals, crucial for maintaining compression and combustion within the rotary engine, were optimized to work in harmony with a new single turbo setup. The original turbocharger was replaced with a Trust TD07S-25G unit, accompanied by a 21 cm EX housing, a Trust Type Cm wastegate housing made from rust-resistant materials, and an insulator to ensure durability and performance.

To manage the increased power, the cooling system was upgraded with a 3-ply intercooler and an aluminum radiator, ensuring the engine remained cool under high-stress conditions. The exhaust system was also modified, with a catalyst integrated into the original Mazda RX-7 exhaust, further enhancing the car's performance. These enhancements allowed the RE Amemiya RX-7 FD3S, now equipped with the turbocharger, to produce an impressive 460 PS.

The Genki 7's performance was put to the test on the Tsukuba circuit, where it completed a lap in 56.862 seconds during a test in 2002. The car's undercarriage was also meticulously tuned to provide stability and comfort during high-speed maneuvers. The standard suspension was replaced with coilover units, and Swift suspension springs were added, featuring ratings of F: 16kg/mm and R: 18kg/mm, respectively. Custom arms were also installed to support more rigid and dynamic undercarriage movements, ensuring the Genki 7 could handle the rigors of both the track and the road.
The wheel setup on the Genki 7 was equally impressive, with 17-inch Enkei rims wrapped in Advan Neova AD08 tires, sized at F235/35-19 in the front and R265/30-19 in the rear. These wheels concealed a set of 4-pot ORC calipers, providing the stopping power needed to match the car's enhanced performance.

Inside the Genki 7, the interior space was designed to match the sporty exterior. The cabin was dominated by a blue color scheme, with various audio components integrated into the design. The cockpit featured functional panels, including a Nardi steering wheel, a 52φ boost gauge, Defilink BF meters for water temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure, as well as an Air Flow Ratio (AFR) Profec e-01 indicator display. The seats, Romax VIOS III BRIDE units in blue, provided both comfort and support, further enhancing the driving experience.
Recent reports have indicated that the Genki 7 might be made available for purchase, though it remains unclear whether this will be through an auction or a direct sale. Regardless of the method, the Genki 7stands as a testament to RE Amemiya's dedication to blending traditional Japanese modification culture with modern design and engineering.
