The new generation Countryman boasts larger dimensions than its predecessor, offering a sleek and modern design with enhanced aerodynamics. Embracing MINI's fresh design concept known as "Charismatic Simplicity," this new Countryman exudes modernity and aggressiveness, featuring sharper lines across its body.

The iconic MINI LED headlights, once characterized by their round shape, have been reimagined into a more square design, maintaining their distinctive character while expressing a more dynamic aesthetic.
Inside, the redesigned Countryman looks to the classic MINI designed by Alec Issigonis for inspiration, with the standout item being a round 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen on the dashboard that also doubles as the instrument cluster. (Picture from: Voi.id)
Moreover, the latest Countryman is equipped with larger 20-inch rims, though smaller 17-inch options are also available. Additional design elements include a wider rear overhang, flush door handles, and boxy fenders with sleeker plastic lining around the wheel arches. At the rear, the Matrix LED taillights appear slimmer and incorporate the trademark Mini Union Jack detail. A more prominent roof spoiler enhances the car's sporty allure.

Inside the cabin, the latest Countryman offers a simplified layout compared to its predecessor. The center console features fewer physical buttons, thanks in part to the expanded 9.4-inch head unit screen. This screen runs on the Android-based Mini 9 operating system, seamlessly integrated with an AI-powered virtual assistant named Spike, enabling voice commands.

Unlike the previous generation, the new Countryman ditches the MID screen behind the steering wheel, transferring all driving information, such as speed and fuel consumption, to the head unit screen. Additionally, Mini offers an optional head-up display for drivers.

Both the Countryman E (FWD) and the SE ALL4 (AWD) share a 64.5 kWh battery capacity, resulting in an impressive range of up to 462 km. However, the SE ALL4 (AWD) packs more power, boasting 308 hp and 494 Nm of torque, while the Countryman E delivers 201 hp and a maximum torque of 250 Nm.

In terms of safety, MINI equips the Countryman with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2, featuring advanced functions like hands-free driving on specific routes at speeds of up to 60 km per hour and automatic parking.
As reported by Carscoops, production of this new Countryman is set to commence at the BMW Group factory in Leipzig in November 2023. While pricing details have yet to be disclosed, it is anticipated that the new generation will come at a higher price point than its predecessor. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MINI | AUTOCAR | PAULTAN.ORG | CARSCOOPS | INSIDEEVS ]
