Zenvo Aurora hypercar is a testament to Danish engineering prowess

New BEAST - After Zenvo Automotive's official announcement of its latest hypercar design in March 2023, the Danish automaker proudly presents the Zenvo Aurora hypercar. This cutting-edge creation boasts a modular chassis design, featuring its new ZM1 modular carbon monocoque and carbon subframe, seamlessly integrating a hybrid drive with a formidable V12 engine and Zenvo's innovative self-designed gearbox.

The exceptional craftsmanship from Denmark offers two distinct variants of the Aurora: the Agil and the Tur, denoting "agile" and "touring" in Danish respectively. First off the line is the Zenvo Aurora Tur, delivering an exhilarating GT driving experience for the road, achieving a remarkable top speed of over 400 kph. Conversely, the Zenvo Aurora Agil embodies a more aggressive aero design, meticulously crafted for peak performance on the race track.

As reported by RoadAndTrack, the heart of the Aurora is its V12 engine, a proud member of Zenvo's new 'V' engine family, developed by Mahle Powertrain, the U.K. branch of the automotive supply giant. The 6.6-liter displacement engine is equipped with four turbochargers, strategically positioned in a hot-vee layout, ingeniously nestled within the cylinder bank's "vee" valley. Both Aurora variants share this potent V12 engine, harmoniously coupled with electric motors, capable of independently generating a remarkable 1,250 horsepower @ 9,800 rpm.

Diverging paths emerge as the Agil variant synergizes its V12 engine with a 200 horsepower electric motor, nestled between the engine and gearbox. This combination unleashes an astonishing 1,450 horsepower, accompanied by a commanding 1,032 lb-ft of torque, effortlessly channeled to the pavement through a seven-speed sequential gearbox and an electronic locking differential. The Agil astounds by sprinting from 0 to 62 mph in a mere 2.5 seconds, ultimately reaching a top speed of 227 mph.

Meanwhile, the Tur variant boasts the addition of dual front-mounted motors, contributing an extra 400 horsepower to the ensemble, propelling the combined system output to an astounding 1,850 horsepower, accompanied by a robust 1,254 lb-ft of torque. Despite its slight increase in weight, the Tur maintains its agility, with the Zenvo engineering marvel clocking in at just under 3,200 lbs, compared to its sibling Agil's weight of approximately 2,866 lbs. This additional power translates into astonishing performance, with the Tur slicing the 0-62 mph time down to an incredible 2.3 seconds and pushing its top speed to a mind-bending 280 mph.

Both variants gracefully navigate the road with the aid of a shared push-rod double-wishbone suspension system, elegantly supported by 20-inch front and 21-inch center-lock magnesium alloy wheels, all paired with standard Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. For those seeking heightened track performance, the Agil offers an optional 2 R Cup tire, enhancing grip and control.
Zenvo's ambitious plan involves the creation of 50 units for each model, with prices commencing at €2,590,000. (Picture from: RoadAndTrack)

The Aurora marks a remarkable stride forward for the brand, reflecting a level of maturity beyond its earlier ST1 and TS1 models. Notably, the Aurora distinguishes itself by omitting the distinctive tilting wing feature, instead focusing on substantial enhancements, epitomized by its commanding V12 engine.
In summary, Zenvo's Aurora hypercar is a testament to Danish engineering prowess, a harmonious blend of cutting-edge technology, precision craftsmanship, and unbridled performance. With the Agil and Tur variants, Zenvo Automotive has sculpted two automotive marvels that cater to both the discerning road enthusiast and the track aficionado, solidifying its position as a prominent player in the realm of hypercar innovation. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ZENVOAUTOMOTIVE | CARANDTRACK | CARSCOOPS | AUTOEVOLUTION | WIKIPEDIA ]
