The Valhalla will be produced in 999 units to commemorate 110 years of Aston Martin
New BEAST - This car was one of the Aston Martin mid-engine hypercars that originally used the code name AM-RB 003 and is known to be the result of a collaboration between Red Bull Advanced Technologies and Adrian Newey, now officially named Aston Martin Valhalla. The name Valhalla is known taken from Norse mythology, as a magnificent and large hall located in Asgard, where's the Odin's throne.

This Valhalla continues the Valkyrie to deliver high-performance road cars from Aston Martin. It is believed that the all-light construction is relied on on the Valhalla, such as the methods and radical aerodynamics are also the result of absorption from the Valkyrie. The Valhalla will be equipped with a hybrid power source, a combination of a turbocharged V6 petrol engine and an electric battery system.

As quoted from Motor1 in January 2023, that Aston Martin will build as many as 999 units of this all-carbon fiber hypercar in commemoration of the 110th anniversary of the Gaydon-based automotive manufacturer. Well,
on January 15, 1913, Lionel Martin and Robert Bramford joined forces to
build what would become the Aston Martin's first production car.

And to mark 110 years of this partnership, the Gaydon-based company is planning year-round celebrations. For starters in January 2023, photos of the Valkyrie hypercar posing next to the 1923 Razor Blade (one of the oldest surviving race cars) were published, as this year (2023) is being billed as a "monumental year," with exciting cars arriving in the next 12 months.

Initially the automaker stated, only a "new very limited and exclusive Aston Martin model" will be launched later this year. The British brand didn't elaborate on the vehicle, so it's unclear whether this limited production model is based on the Valkyrie or something else. This could be an entirely different vehicle as Aston Martin is known for its affinity for low-volume products, such as the Vulcan, as well as one-off products, such as the Victor.

The first models of the next-generation sports car which would be seen in 2023 promises to "further enhance Aston Martin's focus on ultra-luxury luxury, high performance and driving intensity." Again, the identity of the model was not disclosed. To be sure, this is not the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate which debuted on January 18 because the model is from the older generation.

Realistically, the company is likely referring to Valhalla. This was later confirmed by Aston Martin Chairman, Lawrence Stroll who conveyed in an interview to Autocar at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix, that the Valhalla will be limited to 999 units in its initial coupé form. He went on to say that "volume is unimportant" for Aston Martin's mid-engined models and that the focus was on their profitability and exclusivity, hence the decision not to make "ordinary cars" in the mid-engined lineup.

The Valhalla will be built around a carbon fiber monocoque developed by the Aston Martin Performance Technologies division, which was newly erected at the Aston Martin Formula 1 team's new factory in Silverstone. It was also stated that the wind tunnel facility there would also be used to optimize its aerodynamics, so, said Stroll, the car would be "just as impressive" as the Valkyrie.

Initially previewed in March 2019 as the AM-RB 003 Concept, the Valhalla initially powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine. However, later production versions will use a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with a flat crankshaft.
It also will be setup as a plug-in hybrid hypercar with a combined output of over 1,000 horsepower, capable of 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph (350 kph), thus framing the Valhalla to take on the Ferrari SF90 Stradale as rival, by targeting a Nürburgring lap time of 6 minutes 30 seconds. Clearly this is no "ordinary car."
