Genesis introduced the GV80 Coupe Concept in New York City

Gorgeous SUV As one of the big players in the automotive world, the South Korean automotive manufacturer Hyundai Motor Co. through its independent luxury marque, Genesis has officially released the Genesis GV80 Coupe Concept as a lifestyle-oriented SUV with sports car dynamism at the Genesis House in New York City.

As quoted from Carscoops, the design of the GV80 Coupe Concept is inspired by the concept that was previously released last year, the Genesis X Speedium Coupe Concept.

It can be seen clearly that the GV80 Coupe Concept combines the practicality of a lifestyle-oriented SUV with the dynamism of a sports car that is present through a harmonious and more varied mix of styling elements between both models.

And we can see in detail at the front of the GV80 Coupe Concept, equipped with slimmer LED lights with the latest multi-lens array technology. Then, there are air intakes at the front end which are more aggressive. Very different from the previous generation GV80.

While the part that is more similar to the X Speedium Concept is at the back which is also equipped with a small rear wing at the top, as well as a slightly protruding outside of the trunk.

Another difference with the previous GV80 lies in the interior. The three-spoke steering wheel has been changed and the surfaces are finished in black Nappa leather and suede leather accented with orange piping and carbon fiber.

Not only that, the Genesis' SUV concept also has a four-seater capacity equipped with sports seats accompanied by carbon fiber backrests which are painted the same orange as the exterior.

According to Genesis Group's Chief Creative Officer, Luc Donckerwolke said that with the release of the GV80 Coupe concept, it pushed him to improve Genesis' performance and dynamic attributes.

"Over the past seven years, we have added more lifestyle-oriented models to our portfolio, such as the GV80 and G70 SUVs. Now we are driving development with a more emotional car that enhances Genesis performance as well as dynamic attributes," said Luc as quoted by Carbuzz, Monday, April 3.
