UNique ONES The development of the automotive world today is sliding very rapidly and even now being enlivened by the electrification trend. So it is not surprising that there are many concept designs for electric-powered cars been born.

So it is not surprising that this makes a Dutch startup company called Lightyear very enthusiastic to be able to immediately produce solar-powered electric cars. It was even said in the last test that the solar car was claimed to be able to run 441 or the equivalent of 709 km.
As quoted from Motortrend, in a single charge, the solar-powered electric car called Lightyear One is now claimed to be able to run up to 441 miles or 709 km. Indeed, the resulting cruising distance is not much different from the Tesla Model S and Lucid Air, but it is certain that the Lightyear One will have a smaller battery package.

The Dutch company says that the Lightyear One will only carry a 60 kWh battery pack. So which one is more efficient if this car is compared to the Tesla Model S which carries a 100 kWh battery pack to be able to run 709 km on a single battery charge?
This also shows that the Dutch company has managed to find a way to get a longer range, even in its calculations, this solar electric car Lightyear One is able to run 11 km per 1 kWh when compared to the Tesla Model 3.

Furthermore, the Dutch company said that they are still looking for ways to make this electric solar car capable of running 450 miles or the equivalent of 724 km on a single charge. For the next stage they will also carry out official testing at the EPA and WLTP to prove the efficiency of their electric car.
As discussed in our article about this car back in 2019, the Dutch startup plans to launch a production model in 2021. And the first 100 vehicles have already been ordered, but there are still 400 more reservation slots available and can be ordered for € 119,000 or around Rp. 1.9 billion. And so far, the automaker has confirmed that the Lightyear One will enter the production line and will become a formidable competitor in the global electric car market. So, we'll just have to wait! *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | LIGHTYEAR ONE | MOTORTREND ]
