Concept ONLY As mentioned in the previous article, the
Ferrari 288 GTO is one of the most desirable Ferraris out there. By considering there're only 272 units were ever made during its production period between 1984 and 1987. So it is not surprising that the price has now become very expensive and currently the price estimated has reached more than $3 million or approx Rp.44.3 billion.

Not to mention there has to be tight competition among the wealthy collectors to get it. However, some deep-pocketed Ferrari owners have found another ways to own this Italian-made dream sportscar, and even they're should not hassled of maintaining an old vehicle that sometimes also needs an unreasonable maintenance cost.
Well, they could be done a bespoke model based on the modern Ferrari units. It is could became an opportunity for people to own the Ferrari of their dreams with all kinds of design influences. The same can be seen from previous examples and has been done for years and even there's a rumor that a modern interpretation of the legendary
Ferrari F40 sports car based on the
Ferrari SF90 Stradale is on its way.

So why does the same thing couldn't be happened to the legendary Ferrari 288 GTO? Perhaps, that was the talented rendering artist named Valentino Rajan thinks while making this car design. As quoted from
Behance, as you can see it is a theoretical design, if the Ferrari 288 GTO were reborn today.

By considering the original 288 GTO was a mid-mounted sports car, the modern version is also made under the same layout. So it's makes two current models that are worthy of being used as the donor cars, namely the
Ferrari SF90 Stradale and
Ferrari F8 Tributo. The first car donor would obviously allow it to be a hybrid supercar, and definitely could be an interesting idea for somes.

Furthermore, like the original car, this new re-interpretation model also has a more angular style. The protruding wheel arches even remind us to the
Lancia Stratos. And there's a large rear wing, eventhough it would not be found on the original 288 GTO, but still made it looks pretty cool.

Other cool styling elements looks pinned on the front fascia featured with a line of the LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), and the modern pop-up headlights. If there really was a customer demand for such a reborn 288 GTO, there's no guarantee the prancing horse car stable would accept the car project, unless they knew for sure it could be done. Because so far it is known that Ferrari has a reputation for being very strict in maintaining its car's designs.
However, this does not rule out the possibility that the opposite will occur, if there's an influential client wants it. Besides that, the Maranello-based manufacturer also has a long history of working on such challenging projects.
Again, this is just an imaginary design that might be made into reality if anyone wants it. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BEHANCE | TURBO ]
