The Porsche Taycan's 3rd electric sports car was revealed

Porsche once again launched its third version of the electric sports car under the name of Porsche Taycan 4S, after the Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S. This latest car model is Porsche's first electric sports car equipped with the Taycan Turbo drive.

The new entry-level model is now available with two battery sizes, allowing the car to go up to 407 km and 463 km. The Porsche Taycan 4S is equipped with a smaller battery that produces power up to 390 kW and 420 kW with a larger battery. The latter matches the well-known batteries from the Taycan Turbo and Turbo S with a gross capacity of 93.4 kWh (83.7 kWh net) which were introduced earlier in September.

As with the previous two turbo versions, the Taycan 4S uses an exciting permanent synchronous motor (PSM) on both front and rear axles. The difference in performance with those two top models is not only due to its electric power but at least the rear axle of the Taycan 4S also uses a different drive, ie 80 millimeters shorter than the Porsche Taycan Turbo's PSM but still uses a two-speed transmission system.

Both of these 4S variants can accelerate 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, which is 0.8 and 1.2 seconds slower than each type of Turbo and Turbo S. The highest speed of this car is 250 km/hour, for both cars this. There is also a difference in maximum charging power which is 270 kW for "Performance Battery Plus" and 270 kW for turbo models, smaller standard batteries have peak charging power at 225 kW.

In a vision, Taycan 4S is almost no different from the two variants presented earlier. On the front it has a different design, the side skirt and rear diffuser of the 4S are black. In addition, the brake calipers on Taycan 4S are painted red and also have 19-inch rims that are aerodynamically optimized, while the turbo-type wheels measure up to 21 inches.
The interior of the Taycan 4S is equipped with partial leather as standard. Taycan 4S can be ordered at European dealers next January. In Germany, prices start from €105,607 or the US. $118,190. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MOTOR ILLUSTRATED]
