All-new 2020 Land Rover Defender looks fierce in a modern style

The 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show is the right moment for Land Rover to introduce the latest generation of Defender. The latest 2020 Land Rover Defender is offered in 2 variants, namely the 90 series which is a three-door model and the 110 which is longer with five doors. Both are broken down again into four engine choices.

The 2.0 liter four cylinder cylindrical mechanical heart has three power outputs. Options 197 hp and 236 hp are set to produce 430 Nm of torque. While the 300 PS engine has a smaller twisting moment, 400 Nm. The highest is configured with a 3.0 liter 6 cylinder and supported by a mild-hybrid system. The result is a thrust created by 394 hp with 550 Nm of torque.

As qouted of Motor1, the Defender Hybrid plug-in version reportedly ready in 2020. Those new Defender variants supported by the AWD (all-wheel drive) drive system.

Its form changed significantly, much more contemporary than the concept version. It's looks more fatter with rounded curves in various angles. Although the rigid character through a straight plane is still maintained. Unfortunately, its tough aura is a little reduced, changed into modern style.

Moreover, its face became dominant by the lights are round, but still used square frame. The overhang is short, implying its expertise in off-road terrain. The door looks so long, especially seen in series 90. Then the rear area is slipped in a floating pillar style. Likewise, its stern applies a combination of a lighter box with more softening angles.

Even so, the old characteristics are still maintained. Like a horizontal line stretching from the front to the back. The back of the spare tire perch still feels an old style touch with the upright side. And then, the consumers can freely customize their Land Rover Defender. There are at least more than 170 accessories available to mix and match. 

There are also accessory packages to choose from: Adventure, Country, Explorer and Urban. This is not only makes the car look manly in appearance, but also has performance that that matches its environmental conditions.

Its interior has also changed completely. Not only modern, but also compact. Most striking is a 10-inch touch screen with Pivi Pro infotainment system. The feature is no less interesting, there's the car's control while in the off-road terrain is supported by the Configurable Terrain Response function. In addition, there are three-level acceleration settings and gearbox sensitivity.
For the price, the Defender 110 is priced from £45,240. Including the commercial version which is sold around £35,000 or Rp.606 million.
