But actually not only on the bus, the design of high deck vehicle can be implemented, a famous Italian auto coachbuilder named Italdesign Giugiaro (who is already famous for various automotive designs including sports and supercars) has designed a such unique MPV in 1992.

The name of the car is Italdesign Guigiaro Columbus Concept, and according to the Italian automotive coachbuilder, those Columbus name was chosen to commemorate the anniversary of a medieval Italian world explorer who was also known as the discoverer of America, Christopher Columbus.

Described back in the day as a "sailing ship for dry land," the oddball MPV was conceived with a carbon fiber body featuring a bulge in the roof above the front seat to free up more headroom since the driver sat higher than the passengers for improved visibility.

Then why does this car were made with only have one seat in the front and even actually can accomodate 7 people in it? The Italian company made these car concept as a high-class MPV and special made for rich urban consumers to travel with their family with all the luxury in one car.

This can be seen from the seat model which is indeed made very individual and wide. Keep in mind that these unique MPV length is around 6 meters, so that the seats can be rotated to make a small family room in the cabin.

Each seat in the cabin has lighting with a fiber optic system and monitor facilities that are connected to TV channels and VHS video players (something very luxurious at the time). This unique fancy MPV uses a BMW V12 engine with a capacity of 5,000 cc that can burst power up to 300 horsepower and all-wheel drive.
