The race to make Our Earth greener through the efforts to reduce or even eliminate vehicle exhaust gas continues. Of course, this is very positive thing. After the renowned American EV company Tesla had been released various their electric car models. Now it was time for an American startup named Rivian to launch their new product.

Unlike other startups who started their debut by releasing sedan and the like. Rivian ventured to debut their two electric powered vehicles at once, eachly named Rivian R1T and R1S. Those two electric powered vehicles debuted at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show.

These cars rely on four electric motors to drive each wheel to enable active torque vectoring at the same time to deliver maximum performance in a variety of situations, ranging from high speeds while cornering up to crawl in the rocky terrains.
Furthermore, the company claims that the ground torque on each wheel is 3,500 Nm so that the total for its all four wheels is 14,000 Nm. No wonder if the R1T and R1S able to accelerate from rest to 96 km/h in 3 seconds and sped up to 160 km/h in 7 seconds. And then the cars are also claimed to be able to pull the weights up to 5,000 kg. While the weight of the vehicle itself reaches 2,670 kg for R1T and R1S reaching 2,650 kg.
