This supercar doesn't have name yet, and for a while it was nicknamed the HiPerCaR (which is said to be a stands for "High Performance Carbon Reduction) and also a codenamed the P40.

And this supercar has a fairly ferocious appearance (presume like 'Batmobile') and promises a burst of power up to 1,180 horsepower.

That such power comes from its four electric motors, each of which has the duty to drive each its wheel. It is not surprising that the acceleration from rest to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds, but unfortunately the maximum speed is electronically limited to 257 km/h (and we believe with that such power will allows the car to accelerate more faster.)

If the number of 1,180 hp seems too scary, then those British auto company will also offer a two-wheel drive variant that is only equipped with two electric motors, which automatically cut the power output along with its torque by half. Then this supercar also uses the batteries in two capacity options, ie. 42 kWh or 56 kWh. But it doesn't stop there, those auto company turns out to also equip those supercar with a 35 kW micro-turbine engine to make the distance even farther.

By design, the HiPerCaR is not like the previous two Ariel's cars namely Atom and Nomad, which have an open design. It can be seen at the teaser pictures, and makes the HiPerCaR is very worthy has the designation as a supercar thanks to its pretty radical appearance - plus of course, a pair of gullwing doors. Furthermore, Ariel Motor says the majority of the chassis is made of aluminum, while the weight is rumored to be around of 1,600 kg.
If everything goes according to plan, then the Ariel P40 HiPerCaR will be officially launched in 2019, and ready to hit the roads starting one year after its debut. Of course the price it offers can also be ascertained not cheap, cause Ariel's boss said that this car is ready to compete with supercars worth more than £1 million, so we assume the price will not far from that number.
