McLaren intends to bring their Vision Gran Turismo hypercar into reality

Do you remember the McLaren Ultimate Vision Gran Turismo concept? Yes, that is a video-game supercar created as part of a partnership with PlayStation "Gran Turismo Sport." Well, recently McLaren confirmed that they are currently building a new hypercar codenamed BC-03, and said to be inspired by Vision Gran Turismo. However McLaren did not provide a detailed explanation regarding those hypercar.

Through the company spokesperson who only said that the BC-03 is a bespoke customer commission being created by McLaren Special Operations. But the spokesman declined to share further information because the project specifications were confidential between the MSO and its clients.
Obviously these BC-03 (which stands for Bespoke Commission 03) is very different from Speedtail which is the latest McLaren hypercar that has 3 seats. As quoted from PistonHeads, the BC-03 is expected to focus more on track performance than grand touring and direct speed. It was also reported that this hypercar would be produced in a limited number of only 5 units.
There is no official powertrain info about the BC-03, but many speculates that it will use a version of McLaren's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 combined with a hybrid setup similar to the one found in the Vision Gran Turismo, which means the electric motor delivers power to each front wheel. With the powertrain composition, it is estimated that the total power that can be produced is more than 1,000 hp.
Considering McLaren wants all of their cars to be hybridized in some ways by the yeear 2025, this makes sense. Also mentioned, it will be more capable than the Senna GTR, and use a carbon fiber body. Let's just wait for the next news about this hypercar! *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | PISTONHEADS | ROAD AND TRACK | CARSCOOPS]
