Icona's level-5 autonomous electric-powered concept car

Not only large automotive manufacturers can show off, it turns out that the Icona STC SRL design consulting firm seems succeded to attract visitor attentions at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) with the global premiere of their newest concept model called Icona Nucleus EV or what it calls "the ultimate self-driving living room."

Icona Nucleus EV is a versatile vehicle with a capacity of 6 passengers. Interestingly, this car is fully electrically powered, and fully autonomous. In terms of design, this car appears with dipping lines and clogged roof lines. The cabin offers what is called a 'mobile living space' where passengers can lie down.

Lack of sides, front or rear window is a visual guide to fully autonomous capabilities, even though the panel is semi transparent, so the occupants can see it, but cannot be seen. Natural light comes from a clear roof canopy.

The Icona Nucleus EV is a further development of the Icona NEO EV, which the company has exhibited in 2015. Of course, from the technology point of view there has been a lot of progress.

The concept stretches out to 17.2-feet (5.25-meters) long, and 7.0-feet (2.12 meters) wide, assuring plenty of living space in the cabin. Up to six people can fit comfortably in the concept, with one large seat in the front and rear, and a small table, with the ability to transform them all into a comfortable couch. It rides on a set of massive 26-inch wheels, and stands at 5.7-feet (1.75-meters) high.

The Icona Nucleus EV is powered by four electric motors inside the wheel that produce a combination of 592 bhp. Power comes from a battery that can be recharged through a hydrogen hybrid system.
These EV is designed to travel up to 740 miles. Uniquely, this car has full self-driving, aka level five automatic cars. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MOTOR1]
