Borgward brought back Isabella with a modern look

Maybe at this time we all have never heard of the manufacturer's name Borgward, this is natural because the German automotive company founded by Carl F. W. Borgward in 1919 has been dead after declared bankrupt more than 50 years ago.

Isabella, a word that is identical to someone's name. But for Borgward, it was one of their successful models that had been produced in the period June 1954 until they were declared bankrupt in 1961-1962.

After being dormant for the next half century. Then the company was revived earlier this decade by Christian Borgward, grandson of Borgward's founder and namesake Carl F. W. Borgward, together with help from the Chinese industrial giant Foton.

So far Borgward has launched the BX5 and BX7 SUVs and confirmed plans for pure electric models. Most of the production is being handled in China even though Borgward said that the electric models would be built in Germany.

Yes after more than 50 years in dormant status, they are trying to get back up and at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show held in September 2017, they brought the Borgward Isabella Concept. And this car is the result of the interpretation of modern thinking from the classical model. Yes, this concept car is a "reincarnation" of cars that have not been made for decades.

Broadly speaking, the Borgward Isabella Concept is a four-seat four-door coupe with a design that is quite futuristic compared to current cars. The exterior design flows with neat combinations between blue and silver. A slim line with a curvaceous round element gives confidence in the front and a blend of the Maserati Alfieri concept and the Porsche Panamera at the rear.

"A well coordinated body shape with a smooth transition creates a perfect balance between round and line shapes. Our goal is to create synergy between beauty and technology," explained the company's design boss, Anders Warming, as quoted by Carscoops.

Warming added, the advantage of this car is aerodynamics that are thought of in such a way. "We believe the vehicle body makes the surrounding air flow in a perfect way," he added. Aerodynamics itself improves fuel efficiency.

Borgward Isabella Concept has dimensions of up to 5 meters long, 1.4 meters high and 1.9 meters wide. With a size like this, the car is quite spacious for the size of a coupe. Unfortunately, the machine specifications are not explained.
It is only mentioned that Borgward Isabella Concept, in the version production will use a gasoline engine. And this car will enter the production line in the near future, and then be sold in Germany first at the end of 2017. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BORGWARD | AUTOEVOLUTION | MOTORAUTHORITY | CARSCOOPS]
