The concept carried by Renault is electric-powered driverless taxi that can be controlled only by using a smartphone.

These concept is made by efforts to integrate with the environment and optimize driving in densely populated cities. And the Robo-taxi can accommodate 7 people and is planned to be released in 2022.

"Passenger services and sharing mobility present an important opportunity for Renault, especially in big cities. Many cities are starting to be crowded with aging or too young populations and people are looking for new mobility solutions," said Renault COO Thierry Bollore.

EZ-GO itself is designed with a body that is intended to provide the freedom to enjoy views through the panoramic glass roof and support the self-driving system sensor. The dimensions are set not too high so that the pedestrians are not disturbed by the view across.

Renault EZ-GO will be equipped with a fourth-level driving technology, which makes it independently able to keep distance with other vehicles in front of it, stay on track, and change lanes or turn themselves when cornering.

The robots are set with a safe speed limit of approximately 50 km per hour, while the open door from the front of the vehicle is designed to provide a large and safe space when rising or falling.
Renault also embed four-wheel steering technology, 4CONTROL, to EZ-GO to improve agility without reducing safety. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | RENAULT]
