Unique Land Rover used tank tracks

1958 Land Rover 109 Series II was an off-road vehicle and comes with a fierce looks and ready to bulldoze the various terrain. However, what would happen if the car is modified with a more extreme shaped.

In the hands of the Scotish company named James A. Cuthbertson Limited who has changed the legs of this car by using special tank tracks. Not only that, to accommodate this modification, so the company also developed special subframes and then put the body of the LandRover 109 Series II on it.

In order for the car to turn well, the company also added special power steering. After completion of this modification process, do not expect the Land Rover 109 Series II can be tightly to break the speed record at the Nurburging circuit, because this car can only run with a maximum speed of 32 km/hour.

Apparently not only one unit, the company has built more than 20 units of tank-treaded Land Rover 109 Series II after the D-Day. However, it is not known exactly how much is still worth using. Interestingly, at that time this modification car is quite useful for the military who often carried out the mission to clear mines and explosives, because the car was lighter and simpler than the  tanks.
