Extraordinary!! Perhaps that's the right word to represent what we feel when seeing Chris Zernia's motorcycle works. Imagine, a builder who lives in Mendig, Germany, has made a 1982 Honda CX500 like the ancient times vehicle with the bodywork made of stone.

At first glance, this bike did look very solid and definitely heavy. Yes, the motorcycle has a total weigh of 355 kg or around 780 lbs and for its bodywork about 60 kg. The material was taken from a kind of basalt which mined directly from the Eifel Mountains, which is located only a few kilometers from the builder house.
For information, basalt is dense and quite heavy volcanic rock, but can be formed relatively easily. The stone material on the motorcycle itself installed in the headlamp area, fuel tank, seat, plate number, including the helmets for the rider.

From this side seem if the motorcycle is still retains most of the basic models of Honda CX500. In addition to parts of the engine, the casting wheels model and the fuel tank was almost the same. However, for the fuel tank there is an extra bit of small voids in the tanks to deliver fuel to the engine room.
To sustain its heavy bodywork, Zernia also reinforce the chassis of this bike with the addition of four millimeter diameter steel pipe that is placed under the seat of stone. Speaking of the seat, do not even think that we could linger sitting there.

Not only sector of the chassis, the suspension was also upgraded by using the suspension taken of several large motorcycles. For the front suspension using a suspension of Honda VT600. While the rear taken from Harley Dyna.
Despite the ancient impression as in the famous 'Flintstones' cartoon movie is very pronounced on this motorcycle, in fact Zernia not leave modern elements in his work. The proof, the headlights and rear lights has been adopted the LED technology. Specialy, for rear lights, the designs tend to be narrow and sharp like a motorcycle rear lights today.
This unique motorcycle named 'Fukker,' and has already competed in a motorcycle modification contest organized by the Custombike magazine. Remarkably, Fukker get into the top three. Well, Zernia's next target is to make his custom motorcycle as the world's fastest stone motorcycle and break the Guinness World Record.
Kept spur your adrenaline on the power of two-wheeled monster and stay alive with the true safety riding. May God will forgive Your sins and so does the cops.... ••• [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOEVOLUTION]
