Nowadays, the concept design of the motorcycle boardtracker quite prevalent in the custom world, especially in Indonesia. This style first appeared in about the 1910s as the process of transition from bicycles into motorcycles in the velodrome tracks.

One of its earmarks, is on the rigid model framework. And one such as the works of Ariawan Wijaya from Jakarta-based workshop Custom Concept Industries (CCI) that was convert a 1972 Yamaha XS650 into boardtracker-styled motorcycle. Almost all the process of this bike made by handmade. Starting from the design of the frame, bike's details until it can be formed into a motorcycle.
"The level of difficulty was in all sectors, because this is really from the zero and all are handmade. Purely, we just use these Yamaha engine, but it also had to be improved, repaired and beautified as well," said Ari.

For the motorcycle frame made by handmade, it using iron bars strung together. In addition to iron, brass also used as the material for making of the body and fuel tank, while aluminum was chosen as the material to make two drums of the bike.

While for the front suspension only uses the springer, Its legs made higher but uses a typical boardtracker tires which is not too big profile. Uniquely, the width of disc brakes are made equal to the width of the rims circumference, even for the footrests and handgrip were made of wood materials.
"For handmade materials, we combined all the local elements. Starting from iron, brass, aluminum, wood, and leather for upholstery and other sweetener materials," said Ari.

Interestingly, Ari wasn't forget to thicken the ethnic nuances on his boardtracker. With the theme of Javanese handcrave art, it carved directly on the engine block, fuel tank and some other accents that portray the greatness of Borobudur Temple. Due to that the motorcycle dubbed as the "Borotracker".
