Seeing Captain America's rides from time to time

Captain America is a fictional Marvel superhero who became an idol, not only among children, but also teenagers and adults. The image of Captain America increasingly gained as joining with The Avengers, a group of several Marvel superhero, under the command of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Superhero with the unique blue costume with red stripes and white in some parts, in addition to having the capability of martial arts, also armed with a circle-shaped shield. Captain America also owns a motorcycle that used in crushing crime. Well, what the motorcycles ever to ride by Captain America? Here are some of them.

1. Yamaha TT500

Long before Steve Roger (alter ego Captain America) using a Harley Davidson bikes, Captain America was using labeled Yamaha TT500 motorcycle. This motorcycle is the first vehicle to be used in the filming of Captain America in the 1970s.

Yamaha TT500 is the first Yamaha's motorcycle production that carries 4-stroke enduro machine. This bike has advantages to its solid form, so powerful, and has an ideal weight ratio. No wonder if this motorcycle crowned the title of best seller in that time, particularly in the US automotive market.

For the engine, Yamaha TT500 was carrying a single cylinder engine with a capacity of 499 cc, with the engine compression ratio of 9.0: 1. Motorcycle with a 5-speed transmission is capable of spewing power up to 27 hp at 5,900 rpm and able to reach a maximum speed of up to 132 km/h.

2. Harley Davidson Softail Cross Bones

It is an iron horse to ride from the captain in the Captain America: The First Avenger movie, released in July 2011 ago. This bike is a true modified touring design in such a way that for the sake of this movie. When viewed in more detail, changes in its modification leads to the renowned Harley Davidson WLA and has been used by the G.I. in World War II.

Harley Davidson Softail Cross Bones performing with a retro design from its springer front end until the boober styled post-war era. This bike has a single seat, painted with gloss black round for the protection of the air, and a fuel tank shaped like a horseshoe.

This motorcycle carries a  4-stroke, V-2 engine with a capacity of 1,584 cc. And Harley Davidson Cross Bones were able to achieve a maximum torque of 120 Nm @ 3,300 rpm.

3. Harley Davidson Street 750

Cooperation between the Marvel with Harley Davidson motorcycle manufacturer continued in the second film titled Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which was launched in 2014 ago. This time, Captain America riding on Harley Davidson Street 750.

The motorcycle looks still carrying  the distinctive design of Harley Davidson motorcycle with low seat type, long body, long handlebars, round headlights, as well as muscular width wheel. In addition, the chassis technology used by Harley Davidson Street 750 was lighter than the Harley Davidson Sportster.

Harley Davidson Street 750 carries a Revolution X engine with the 60-degree V-twin architecture as the result the motorcycle has a higher ground cleareance. In addition, the motorcycle is powered by a liquid-cooled engine with a capacity of 749 cc, and combined with six speed transmission system, as well as specially tuned suspension.

4. Harley Davidson LiveWire

Later in the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie released in 2015 ago, Captain America once again riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle. But the difference this time he used Harley Davidson LiveWire, this is the first electric powered motorcycle produced by Harley Davidson.

Harley Davidson electric-powered motorcycles have typical motorcycle cruiser futuristic and sporty design. The design will obviously be very loved by youthful fans of Harley Davidson. This bike is built with an aluminum chassis paired with a new drive belt and upside-down suspension at the front and monoshock at the rear.

As for propulsion, this bike uses 3 phase electric motor, and can burst the power up to 55 kw, or equivalent to 174 hp, with maximum torque of 52 lb-ft. Harley Davidson LiveWire can cover a distance of over 150 km.
