A new BMW HP4 Race prototype was on display in Milan

One of the renowned premium motorcycle manufacturer BMW Motorrad introduced its latest product of the HP4 family at the EICMA 2016 in Milan, Italy, called the 'BMW HP4 Race.' 

These full-fairing motorcycle is still using the BMW S1000RR machine base that's certain to be topping 200 hp with a spec list that includes a carbon chassis, Öhlins FGR gas forks, Brembo M50 brakes.

BMW also said that the motorcycle is a product exclusively and will go on sale in 2017. Because it was an exclusive motorcycle, so the HP4 Race will be produced in limited numbers and will begin to be sent to their owners in the second half of 2017.

"In 2017, we provide the latest models. This is the most exciting and exclusive motorcycle ever made by BMW," says BMW Motorrad CEO Stephan Schaller, as quoted from Visordown.

Furthermore Schaller revealed that the HP4 Race is on display at the EICMA 2016 was the prototype. There has been no official information about the motorcycle's technical data.  "This is not a production version motorcycle. We have not been able to answer a lot of questions about it at this time," he said.

Body of the motorcycle prototype was made by using carbon fiber materials. Likewise, the sub-frame and its frame. When the production version of HP4 Race marketed using carbon fiber materials, it is certain that this bikes are lighter than the existing HP4 today.
It would be a distinct advantage for HP4 Race to compete in the 1,000 cc superbike segment. As already known, that a competitor of the BMW HP4 Race, ie Honda CBR1000RR SP, Kawasaki ZX-10R ABS and Ducati 1199 Panigale.
