After almost two years, BMW finally managed to restore classic vehicles belonging to the King of Rock n' Roll, Elvis Presley, which was previously found in a warehouse in a badly damaged condition.

For information, Elvis Presley once bought a 1957 BMW 507 roadster, when he served as a GI and stationed in Munich, Germany. He first saw the car being raced by Hans Stuck and given the same model had been displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show and used as a press car, when Elvis bought it second-hand in December 1958 for $3,750, BMW fitted a new engine.
Originally in white, Elvis repainted it in Porsche Red after getting tired of women writing their phone numbers on it in lipstick. It’s unclear what happened immediately after Elvis bought the car, with some stories suggesting the army shipped it to him in the States after completing his tour.

Previously the 1957 BMW 507 roadster which claimed to belong to Elvis is found in a warehouse a few years ago. Although not known for sure how long those vehicles is within the warehouse, then BMW took the initiative to perform the restoration to the Elvis roadster.
As quoted from Carbuzz, when the car was found, it's not in a state of original, one of which is its engine has been replaced with a Chevrolet's V8 engine, as well as the condition of the interior such as the dashboard that can not be used anymore.

BMW has attempted to do an authentic restoration in accordance with the level of originality that is able to do. Even the German automotive manufacturers should look for a machine that is suitable for use on the 507 roadster belonged to Elvis.
Although the search is successful, reportedly the transmission system has been modified. As a result BMW then developed a new transmission systems for the original BMW 507 V8 engine which has a capacity of 3.2 liters. BMW also do restoration on the dashboard, but some parts like body and frame requires only a few small improvements.
