At 100 years ago, Peugeot car ever to win the race in the Indianapolis 500 by using Peugeot L45 car driven by Dario Resta. To commemorate the victory, the French car manufacturer will create a concept car named Peugeot L500 R HYbrid racing concept.

Peugeot L500 R HYbrid racing car inspired by the L45 car, but combined with the technology of the future. And the car developed by the Peugeot Sport Teams relying of a petrol engine-powered 266 hp and coupled with two electric motors.
The future race car has a total power up to 493 hp and maximum torque of 730 nm. This makes the car can accelerate from 0-100 kilometers per hour in just 2.5 seconds.

"With the L500 R HYbrid racing concept, we paid tribute to the Peugeot's racing heritage of the early twentieth century. Inspired by the spirit of the car, we would like to present a concept car, elegant and technologically future of Peugeot motorsport," said Matthias Hossan, Peugeot's Brand Concept Car and Technological Advance Chief, as quoted of Carscoops on Monday, May 30, 2016.

Peugeot L500 HYbrid racing concept car, continued Hossan, built as a vehicle that can be integrated with the driver. This is manifested by the i-Cockpit cabin technology that displays a range of information about the car and the various needs required by the driver before driving.
