Hankook Vice President Klaus Krause said the tires on display will provide insight to the drivers on the picture of the tires in the future.

"The tire can provide vehicle customization options for the car drivers. However, from a technical perspective, if put colored design than its sidewall, will significantly drive up the price of production is higher," Krause said as quoted from the official statement of Hankook Tire Indonesia on Tuesday, March 15, 2016.

Krause said, when producing the tires concept, Hankook engineers often encounter a variety of challenges in preparing the side of the tire and tread pattern. So also with the formation of rubber color samples based on the Opel specification.

Red front tires in particular is reminiscent of the legendary motorcycle figures, Opel Motorbike Motoclub 500, which was launched in 1928. The event inspired the initial design of the line of the red-lit, highlighting the contour lines of the GT Concept which makes it a very distinctive resembling pictograms.

The design and structure of the tire concept has similarities with a regular street tires, although it has a different color, which is red and black. Both of these tires have identical construction to determine the size of the tires of the concept. The Hankook technicians adjusted the tires with a conventional size, which is about 225/40R18.

In the production process of the concept tires made using the method of rapid prototyping and mold construction, with red and black rim inserts are produced from the same material with the tread of the mixed materials. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | HANKOOK | TIRE REVIEW]
