Scientists from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, in collaboration with Hyundai Motor managed to transform electricity in a hydrogen fuel cell car for everyday use at home. By creating a socket in the car, they can connect the electrical energy generated from hydrogen cars to the facility at home.
As an experimental material, the group of scientists led by Ad van Wijk used the Hyundai ix35 hydrogen car to generate residential electricity. The Hyundai fuel cells car is able to have a capacity of up to 10 kW are able to meet the electricity needs for 10 homes.

Frank Meijer, Head of Hyundai Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles said that his team's findings is a big step forward to making eco-friendly electric power source.
"Fuel cells can produce electricity, hot water and clean water resulting from the work process of hydrogen can also be used for daily necessities in homes, schools, and offices. We are proud of the first car that is capable of producing clean energy are the ix35," said Meijer, as reported by the Daily Mail.

If conventional engines produce exhaust gases such as CO2, then the hydrogen vehicle produces only water. Therefore its use is very beneficial to the environment.
But now the hydrogen car is not yet widely used. The reason, the hydrogen gas filling facility still minimal. Experts are still developing this technology to increase the cruising vehicle. Currently the fuel cell car's range when fully charged hydrogen tube reached as far as 500 kilometers.
