Peugeot released new dashboard layout concept

Peugeot showed their new dashboard layout a few days ago, and now the French automotive manufacturer providing all the details and form of it.

In this second generation, Peugeot i-Cockpit adopt futuristic appearance and eliminate analog speedo on the instrument cluster, and replaced  with a fully customizable digital screen that has a size of 12.3 inches. Incidentally, it has the same size as the Virtual Cockpit Audi and will be offered on nearly all models in Peugeot's lineup.

In addition to a fully digital instrument cluster, the Peugeot i-Cockpit also carry 8 inches touchscreen display for the infotainment system. It is mounted in the center of the instrument panel and more responsive than its predecessor. Both displays can display 3D navigation with real-time information from TomTom Traffic, while the 8-inches screen also has support for Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and MirrorLink.

The interior with a leaner physical and has a very few buttons, because most of the functionality has been integrated in the infotainment system.  Peugeot says the new two-bars steering wheel still have a small diameter, but is now part of the steering wheel is lower 2 mm than the previous for improved the visibility of digital display.
And the next Peugeot 3008 2nd generation is likely to be the first car to use the new i-Cockpit and we will see it in the second half of this year. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | WORLDCARFANS]
