Not many the coach builder companies who can change the look of a well-established car. But not with Cardi, a Moscow-based coachbuilding company. They managed to overhaul the look of the Aston Martin DB9 becomes more interesting and certainly limited. In the front view, Cardi Concept 442 looks more boxy with the large grille area. It uses flat headlights and also use of the projector lens. In the rear view, the air grilles look to dominate and looks similar to the design of the Audi R8. Its flat taillight design in tune with the front headlights.

The Cardi designers should strive hard to move the B pillar belonging DB9 to put the massive side glass and panoramic roof. In the interior, you will be presented the dashboard with a large wood panel. And the designers say that the interior is inspired from the yacht's.
Inside, the nautical design is a step up from Aston's usual dash design. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1ZLMKY)
This is aided by the slim steering wheel and sleek design - analogue dials have been replaced by a digital screen, while even the climate control system relegated to three slim strips on the lower part of the dash. The infotainment screen is low-mounted and controlled by a BMW iDrive-style wheel, while an analogue clock sits in the centre of the whole thing.

Behind the outer shell which has a totally changed design, Cardi 442 Concept uses the similar engine and transmission with DB9, ie a V12 engine which have a capacity of 6,000 cc combined with 6-speed automatic transmission system.

The images of the Concept 442 were released in a special brochure commemorating Cardi’s 25th anniversary. It’s not yet known if Cardi plans to commercialise the Concept 442, but we can think of a few DB9 owners who would undergo the transformation just to stand out more. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CARDI PRO | AUTOEXPRESS]
