A wooden V8-engined supercar

Supercar generally thick with modern and futuristic elements, such as body panels made of carbon fiber. But it does not apply to Splinter, because many parts of the car actually made of wood.

As reported by the GTSpirit on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, Splinter was designed by a team of industrial designers led by Joe Harmon. According to him, the idea of ​​making this wooden supercar inspired by the WW2 fighter planes, Havilland Mosquito, where its whole wings made of wood. The car body is made of a mixture between a thin slice of cherry trees and balsa wood. As shown in the figure, the natural materials still make the car look ferocious. While other parts are also made of wood is the dashboard and steering wheel.

Currently, Splinter is being exhibited at the Essen Motor Show 2015 held in Essen, Germany, and will last up to 6 December. This is not the first time the wooden supercar is exhibited.
