The Netherlands is not a country that is famous for automobile manufacturing. There Spyker, an old factory that used to make the Mitsubishi Colt until now and DAF factory in Born make 2014 MINI hatch, that's all. But if we dig a little deeper into the past, we will find the vehicle that is much more attractive and original.

In 1948, a car called 'Gatso 4000 Aero' was born as a lightweight car that uses a flathead Ford V8 engine and built by Maurice Gatsonides. The machine has been modest and the part is available worldwide. From its 3.9 liter engine, Gatso produces a power of 120 hp at 4,000 rpm and torque of 250 Nm at 2,000 rpm. This power is sent to the rear wheels via an unsynchronized 3-speed manual transmission system.

The open-top two-seater car has a number of distinctive features. It was born from the world of motorsport and have additional lights in the center designed for endurance racing series such as Le Mans. The fairing also created the necessary clearance for the V8's powerplant's carburetors, which would otherwise have protruded from the hood.

With the exception of a small door and bonnet, all the body panels are welded into one piece refined to reduce drag. A tarpaulin and side glass are available as an extra that you have to plug it by hand if it began to rain.
