Seeing the latest Brazilian supercar

Rossin-Bertin, a Brazilian supercar brand, started manufacturing its supercar named 'Rossin-Bertin Vorax,' whose name is like a pharmaceutical product in 2011.

This Brazilian company founded by Fharys Rossin, an ex-GM designer and Natalino Bertin Jr in 2010. The Vorax is about to make it first appearance in late October at Sao Paulo Auto Show.

The car itself is a dramatic and menacing looking coupe. The lines are fairly unique, and Rossin has done a good job of making the car look different from most other generic supercars.

The bodywork is formed from carbon fiber, while the chassis is an aluminium spaceframe unit, so it is not strange if the car has a fairly light weight is 1,300 kg. The exterior of Rossin-Bertin Vorax is the unique combination of between a Nissan Juke and a Mazda RX-8.

Powering the Rossin-Bertin Vorax is a 5.0 litre V10 borrowed from the BMW M5. This engine is offered in two different flavors. First up is the naturally aspirated model which develops 570 hp and allows for a 0-100km/h time of 3.8 seconds, top speed is 330 km/h. The top spec model of the Rossin-Bertin Vorax is the supercharged version. This puts out 750 hp and can get to 100km/h in 3.6 seconds. Top speed is 372 km/h..
Production of the Vorax coupe will start at a plant in Blumenau. The company expect to produce fifty units per year by 2012 and then gradually increase until it reaches 300 copies annually. The price will be set at around $700,000 or €500,000. (Jump to another Brazilian supercar). *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | GT SPIRIT]
