This bike is made by 3-D printer

Advances in technology no doubt greatly assist human performance. The proof, the imitation of Harley-Davidson motorcycle constructed through the sophisticated 3-D printer. A Swiss firm TE Connectivity (formerly Tyco Electronics Ltd.) has produced what it claims to be the world’s first fully-operational 3D-printed motorcycle.

As reported by Motorcycle.com on Monday, June 1, 2015, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was exhibited the Rapid 2015 3D printing fair in Long Beach, California recently successfully drawing attention of visitors.

TE Connectivity claims took 1,000 hours to design and print the motor at a cost of approximately US $25 thousand (Rp. 330 million). This amount may be reduced if the manufacturer has a more adequate technology.

At first glance, many people did not think the big motorcycle made by a printer and take the HD Softail as the model. But in fact, most of the components of this bike is made from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic material by using a 3-D printer.
