KIA Novo Concept

At the Seoul Motor Show 2015, KIA participate showing their latest fastback concept car named 'Novo'. This concept is designed to roam city streets by applying a four-door form.

It is said that the name of the car is taken from the Latin, "Novatus" which means "New" and "Fresh". This concept uses plartform of Cerato/Forte which has been modified with a new body combined with a short front overhang with a distinctive fastback roofline.

In the interior, the KIA Novo uses a minimalist design with adopting a neat layout with fewer buttons. Inside the cabin is equipped with a touch pad 3D hologram "blind control" which is located next to the steering wheel. This makes the driver more to control vehicle functions. Interestingly, the touch pad uses a fingerprint scanner. Automatic touch pad will set the preference driver after his fingerprints matched.

Power source is derived from the four-cylinder gasoline turbocharged engine with a capacity of 1,600 cc. Engine mated to a seven-speed DCT transmission system which was recently launched.
KIA stated, they do not plan to make a production version of this concept. But the South Korean manufacturer said that the KIA has production history of producing vehicles that are similar to the concept car. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | WORLDCARFANS]
