Simson Schwalbe revived!

Simson Schwalbe is a unique appearance motorcycle in the near future will be reborn. This East German-made motorcycles announced are waiting the latest debut after its production ceased in 2002.

As quoted from Autoevolution on Friday, March 13, 2015, Simson Schwalbe raised by Govecs, a well-known company that produces electric motorcycle. Because to be hatched by Govecs, then the newest Simson Schwalbe will be born as an electric scooter with two engine variants, the 50 cc and 125 cc. The plan, the launch will be made in mid-2015, the company has not yet announced the price certainty.

For information, the Samson Schwalbe scooter is very popular in East Germany. This bike has sold approximately one million units since it was first created. However, production was halted after receiving the intervention of the government. Beside that Simson Schwalbe failed in market to fight some other retro motorcycles such as Vespa and others.

It is known that Schwalbe that uses a 50 cc engine can produce up to 2.1 hp of power which is then mated to a three or four-speed manual transmission.
