Ferrari prepared a new supercar named 488 GTB that will be show at the Geneva Motor Show 2015 next March. This sport car was created at the request of consumers who demand the economical use of fuel but does not reduce the engine power.

It does sound contradictory, but the Ferrari 488 GTB try to make it happen. This car is the development of a variant of California T with an added a turbo features on the engine. And 488 GTB also simultaneously replace the 458 Italia, which was previously recorded as the best selling models in the market.

For this car, Ferrari installed a twin turbo V8 engine with a capacity of 3.9 liter, which is claimed to be capable of producing 660 hp, and 99 hp higher than the 458 Italia. Two-passenger coupé is capable of accelerated from 0-100 kph in just three seconds.

Ferrari continued to exploit the use of turbo on their new models engine, in pursuit of a target to cut 20 percent of carbon dioxide emissions until 2021. By compressing air into the cylinder, the turbo can be produce the same power, albeit with a smaller engine capacity.

Ferrari claims fuel consumption of the 488 GTB reached 11.4 liters per 100 km or 8.7 kpl with carbon dioxide emissions equals 260 grams per km. As well as these claims became a record for the most economical car ever produced by Ferrari for the general consumer.
