Slovakian affordable supercar revealed

Eastern European countries that have been known to still be a bit outdated began to clean themselves. They seem to be trying to catch up with other countries that have advanced. One of the countries seeking to improve the quality of production of the automotive industry is Slovakia.

A state fraction of Czechoslovakia was successfully build a supercar, named R1. Supercar maker is claimed to have an affordable price compared supercar made Europe's top automotive manufacturers, such as reported by Carscoops on Tuesday, 24 June 2014.

Praga as a manufacturer of R1 wants to abolish the notion that an affordable sport car was produced at random and not using quality materials. Therefore Praga in creating R1 trying to present a car that has high performance but at affordable prices.

When viewed at a glance, the design of the face of R1 is almost similar to the design of the Ferrari 458 that has vertical headlamp design. The design is flat and sloping aims to maximize the aerodynamics of the car like a F1 racing car.

To suppress the price, Praga will installed the supercar with a small capacity engine capable of spraying power but big enough ie a Renault RS engine that has a capacity of 2.0 liter.

Praga said that the supercar prototype introduced in Britain Donington Park circuit is not going to their mass production. The manufacturer still wants to improve R1 by creating R1 Turbo that carries the turbo and electric propulsion.
