Lambo Rat Rod

Hot rod is often synonymous with classic cars which have ever appeared in the 1930s and 1940s. Its "eccentric" design makes a lot of enthusiast  of automotives and classic cars loved it. Plus a large machine that sat behind a unique hood also be a special attraction.

Such interest has been stirred Pawel Wisniewski, a sketches specialist and Jans Slapins, an automotive 3D experts to make Hot Rod concept with a modern look while still maintaining its characteristic. The idea came when both witnessed Lamborghini and Rat Rod side by side to compete on the racing track (drag race). As a result came the idea to combine the design of both and called the Lamborghini Rat Rod.

The car inspiration was taken from several models and characters. Like a Formula-1 car, Plymouth Cuda, Vought F4U Corsair until the refrigerator era of the 1960s. While its front design still maintaining the condition of the tires are parallel to the engine room such as a Hot Rod typical.

The body lines curve taken of the Lamborghini character and some material that used is the carbon fiber. The use of air holes on the side of the engine room and the door to make the look more frightening. Plus, the rims are made from carbon fiber. The low roof of the car made a Hot Rod typical also adheres to the extreme chop top models. Nevertheless designers created a cabin that can be loaded with 4 passengers.

As its drivetrain, that comparable to grim look, the designers installed a small block V8 engine complete with twin turbo and completed with 6 speed sequential transmission system.

All of these designs are still in the form of digital engineering sketches. There is no certainty to make the mass production version or even a prototype.
