Once developed since 2011, BMW's factory finally started mass producing of C Evolution in Berlin, Germany, as reported from Motor Authority, on April 5, 2014. This electric scooter was produced in limited quantities in the year of 2012 and was officially marketed starting this year.

C: Evolution is one of the new development in the global motorcycle industry. This electric scooter is equipped with a lithium-ion battery technology, the same as used in the i3. Every motorcycle manufactured using three modules, each consisting of a 12 cell battery. This module covered by aluminum frame, as well as a major component of the chassis structure.

BWM-Berlin Plant Manager, Marc Spielemann, said it would take many months to create a production line for the C Evolution. Assembly process is quite unique so take the ideal calculation.

Unlike the usual motorcycle assembly, engine assembly is a separate electric scooters because of their large size and require special equipment. Every worker shall inspect each module before removing to the assembly.
From here, then other parts of the installation process is done, starting from the front frame, rear, swing arm, rubber, and transmission systems. Each motorcycle also through rigorous testing, ensuring the conditions remain ideal.
