In 2010, archaeologists discovered the tomb of a woman buried with her four children. In 2008 found a mummy of 13-year-old girl. The latest two mummies was unopened where they were found. They will be brought to the laboratory within four to six months to determine the age and sex of each. In the tomb, the researchers also found seven vessels with the cat design that used to drink herb tea, 12 bags of cloth, and debris of three guinea pigs statues.
The mummy excavation project director, Isabel Flores, said that the archaeologists have dug 40 percent of Huaca Pucllana that built during the pre-Hispanic Wari periods. There are about 350 huaca in Lima region, scattered between the buildings and houses. That's all indicates the pre-Hispanic civilizations in the city of Lima. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC]
