The asteroid that called 2000 EM26, initially predicted to pass through the Earth on February 18, 2014 in the U.S. time or February 19, 2014 in West Indonesian time, and arriving from a distance of 2.4 million kilometers from the Earth. But when a robotic telescope track, the asteroid can not be found.

Astronomers under the auspices of telescope service named Slooh, giving asteroid the nickname with Moby Dick and recalling the space observers to help find it.

This is not typical for the asteroid may be lost and the largest possibility was the telescope placed on the wrong point, says Slooh's CEO Michael Paolucci. In general, astronomers try to predict the trajectory of asteroids by observing how light reflects from the surface, as reported by New Scientist. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | NEW SCIENTIST]
