Lost in Obscurity: The Mysterious Tale of ISIS RapX-s

Forgotten BEAST - Disclaimer: The use of the term "ISIS" in this context is unrelated to any global political connotations. It solely refers to a Dutch car manufacturer identified as ISIS Cars. Back in 2013, this Netherlands-based company introduced itself as a fresh contender at Top Marques Monaco. With a legacy of over 25 years in shaping chassis and crafting bodies from steel, aluminum, and advanced composites, the company is primed to leave an indelible mark in the realm of high-performance cars.

One standout in their lineup is the ISIS RapX-s, a sleek and minimalist lightweight sports car developed in collaboration with its compatriot company Saker. Positioned as a contender against track day champions like Radical, Ultima, and Ariel, the RapX-s brings a fusion of style and performance to the table.

Powering the ISIS RapX-s is a potent 4-cylinder 2-liter turbo engine sourced from an undisclosed origin. With a robust output of 280 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, this mighty machine can blaze from 0 to 100 kph (62 mph) in a mere 4.2 seconds, achieving a top speed of 260 kph (161.56 mph).

Much of this impressive performance can be attributed to the car's feather-light 820 kg of kerb weight. Drivers can opt for either a 5-speed or 6-speed gearbox, while those seeking an extra dose of excitement can explore the available V6 variant.

Underneath the surface, the chassis blends a combination of multi-tube steel and aluminum, encased in body panels fortified with glass-reinforced vinylester. Priced at €90,000 (approximately $123,151) before taxes, the ISIS RapX-s presents an enticing offer for enthusiasts. It's worth noting that production will be limited, adding an air of exclusivity to this remarkable model.
Surprisingly, no news or sightings of the ISIS RapX-s have emerged since its introduction at the global automotive event. The current status of the company remains shrouded in mystery, although its website remains accessible. Have you come across this enigmatic car or any other models by this Dutch manufacturer?
