Mazda's leap in Geneva

Mazda Motor Corporation ensures the presence of the latest generation subcompact concept car, Mazda Hazumi, in the 84e Salon International de l’Auto de Geneve or 2014 Geneva Motor Show that will take place starting from March 6-16, 2014.

In Japanese, Hazumi means leap or jump in small movements depict an animal in the wild that is being jumped. The word according to Mazda's new vehicles are designed small but still energized.

From the images of Mazda Hazumi Concept that have been circulating in cyberspace, the car's front design such as adopted of Mazda's KODO-Soul of Motion design, then the headlamp design uses modern LED technology. It is also equipped with a body kit with blacken rear spoiler, and the large wheels.

But if we look more closely, the Mazda Hazumi Concept image depicts hatchback car type. The question is, whether Mazda Hazumi Concept is the next generation of the Mazda2? The possible answer is yes, because the Mazda2 has been rumored to be entering the newest generation. In addition, new variants of Mazda hatchback like the Mazda3 has also launched a few months ago.

"Mazda Hazumi expressing the ideal shape of the latest generation of Mazda sub-compact cars," as wrote by Mazda in a press release on Friday, February 21, 2014. In the automotive event, Mazda also launched SKYACTIV-D 1.5 technology, small-displacement clean diesel engine which is newly developed by Mazda. In addition, Mazda also held an exhibition to commemorate 25 years of the Mazda MX-5 in the world.
