As reported by NBC news, on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, biologists say that this rare fish is a new species. This animal is a species of freshwater fish, which live in the North American heavy river flow. This fish is known for its large head structure.

"The findings of the new fish that I never expected happened in my career, because it is very rare in the United States," said Michael Young, a researcher. He discovered this fish while doing genetic research on the fish that found in the upper Columbia River.

Not unexpectedly, the researchers initially were not sure that they find a fish which had never seen by humans before. Of the genetic testing and inspection shows that this fish is different from other fish that have been identified by scientists before.

This species is precisely found in the Coeur d'Alene and St. Joe river in northern Idaho and the Clark Fork river, Montana. This rare fish called Cedar Sculpin. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | NBC NEWS]
