The panoramic face of Moon today

For the first time, through the China's Chang'e-3 moon lander and Yutu rover, the first 360-degree panoramic colored photos of Moon can be seen. From the photos as follow, it appears gray panoramic image of lunar surface and also looks the Moon rocks that look white.

The panoramic photos of Moon was produced from the photos that taken by Chang'e-3 lander that landed to bring Yutu rover to the Moon at Mare Imbrium near the Bay of Rainbows on Dec. 14, 2013.

A 360-degree panoramic image of Moon that focus attention on Yutu rover, a vehicle whose name is taken from the jade rabbit belong to goddess Chang'e. On the panoramic image also showed motion traces of Yutu that will investigate the geology and natural resources of Moon's.

China is the third nation to successfully perform missions to the Moon after the United States and the Soviet Union four decades ago. Chang'e-3 landed after 12 days of launch from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan, China.
