Our planet is getting warmer

This is a note that should be noticed and acted upon, so the life on Earth can continued for a long period of time. From the studies done by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said that Our Earth is getting warmer.

The both institutions above are mentioned the year of 2013 as the warmest year of all time that have been recorded. NOAA report notes, that the year of 2003 was the fourth warmest year of all time. Meanwhile, using a slightly different method, NASA declared that 2013 was the seventh warmest year after 1880, along with 2009 and 2006.

The year of 2013 is also mentioned as the 37th warmest year in a row when the Earth's temperature is higher than the 20th century. In addition, last year also stated as one of the 10 warmest years during the 21st century.

Gavin Schmidt, deputy director of NASA's Goddard Institute of Space Studies in New York said, "There are times such as today when we can have snow even in a globally warmed world. But the long term trends are not going to disappear ... Quite frankly people have a very short memory when it comes to climate and weather." as quoted by ABC, on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.

During the year of 2013, Australia experienced the warmest year in the last 104 years. Meanwhile, Botswana and Namimbia hardest hit by drought in the last 30 years. Almost all the land on Earth in the last year was noted as the hottest temperature. Only the central region of the United States that has a temperature below average.

Our Earth is getting warmer one of them triggered by greenhouse gas emissions. Now we need an efforts to suppress the emission, so the Earth is still be able to support life in a long period. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ABC | NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC]
