Bolt tried to break the record

The battle in creating the world's fastest car continues. Fastest car in the world record currently held by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport at speeds above 400 kph. But this British car wants to rip record as claimed Veyron can run up to 547 kph.

Keating Supercars, it's an ambitious brand with Keating Bolt cars will they create. The car is scheduled to be sold at a price of £750,000, or about Rp. 14 billion is claimed to accelerate from rest to 96 kph in just 2 seconds.

Companies based in Manchester is initiated by the Director of Keating Supercars, Tony Keating is said to have invested millions of pounds to the car's powerful 800 horsepower. Do not wait long, Keating Supercars is scheduled to soon make a prototype of this car to be tested in Ras al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates. The target is to break the psychological limit of 300 mph or 482.8 kph and a record 340 mph or 547 kph.

"This car is unique with a lot of engineering components in our own workshop. For fans of a true supercar, with a thick wallet, twin turbo, Bolt will reach 0 to 100 kph in 2 seconds and faster than any other supercar in history," said Tony as reported by the Daily Mail, on Monday, September 30, 2013.

Previous Keating Supercars holds the world speed record for a production car in 2009 after running up to 260.1 mph or 418.5 kph on the Salt Lake Flats, California. But the Bugatti Veyron in the future could be even faster with a record of 268 mph or 431.3 kph.

The car is expected to be sold next year was developed with the help of the University of Bolton, where Keating first started working for the gearbox design cars when he was a student.

"The university is pleased to be associated with the development and launch of the supercar and proud that the people behind it is one of our graduates," said Vice-Chancellor, Professor George Holmes.
To run fast, the car is powered with a LS7 V8 engine that have a capacity of 7.0 liter. The power is channeled to the rear wheels through a 6-speed transmission system. This supercar will use carbon fiber and kevlar materials to reduce weight. At full strength, Bolt can be kept running.
