A leaked information about the Porsche 911 Targa 2014 variant which is scheduled to be on display next year at the Geneva Motor Show has been circulating through several patent photos.
Although still considered premature, but the information was able to uncover a lot of things. Originally the leakage was posted online by a French television station, and from the picture leakage reveals that the newest 911 Targa will be identical to the coupe and convertible variants that have been there.
This variant will get a gigantic rear window, embellished by three small-sized vertical ventilation. A signal design to be the main feature of the 911 Targa, which first appear in 1967.
As reported by the Leftlanenews, on Saturday, December 14, 2013, this model has a roof made of lightweight composite materials such as carbon fiber so it can be easily removed. This car is also not expected to have significant modifications in the interior side, which means they will have a dashboard similar to the 911 Convertible.
Rumor also says, that the cars will be powered by the flat-six engine which has a capacity of 3.4-liters, so it capable of spewing force of 350 hp and 288 lb-ft of torque. As for Targa S will use a flat-six 3.6 liter engine that could produces power of 400 hp and 324 lb-ft of torque.
At the time of launch later, the Targa will only be offered with rear-wheel drive. However, four-wheel drive model with widened rear end will likely turn to complete the alignment produced this variant.
