As reported by Autoevolution on October 18, 2013, Mike Rockenfeller is the new champion of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) at the end of September, after finished in second place with his Audi RS A5 DTM car on Zandvoort.
Mike has 142 points with just one race left in this season and his points can not be pursued by Augusto Farfus from BMW.
To celebrate the victory of Mike "Rocky" Rockenfeller on DTM racing 2013 season, Audi presented Audi A5 DTM Champion Special Edition. By using the base Audi A5 Coupé and
added with the DTM logo accents in some sections. The logo appears
prominently on the lower body and door trim.
For special products of Audi A5 with additional packages will only be produced in limited as many as 300 units. The Audi A5 DTM Champion has been sold since October 21, 2013, at a price adrift €1,900 (or approx U.S. $2,600 or Rp. 29 million) more expensive than the standard variant.
On its back, there is a wing which painted the same color as the body and mirror shells appear with chrome aura. The car looks more aggressive with four 20" 5-spoke alloy wheels.
There are 4 engine options namely 2.0-liter TDI Quattro with 177 hp, 3.0-liter TDI Quattro with 245 hp, 2.0- liter TFSI Quattro with 225 HP and 3.0-liter TFSI Quattro with 272 hp. The car also has three colors option, namely Misano Red, Daytona Grey and Glacier White.
