Are You know this Supercar?

So many supercars that have been made by the world's automotive manufacturers. And the following is one of them, the car was introduced to the public since 2001. I am interested in discussing it this time, because of the quite exotic and has a powerful spec anyway.

The Edonis (Greek for ‘pleasure’) is a car created by B Engineering, an Italian small-volume automobile manufacturer. It is made up of several former employees of the Bugatti firm when it was under the leadership of Romano Artioli.

The car was launched on January 1, 2001, and is based on the Bugatti EB110 Super Sport but has been extensively re-engineered, the only thing retained from the original Bugatti is the carbon-fiber chassis. The Edonis uses the same V12 engine as found in the Bugatti EB110 but its engine displacement had increased from 3,500 cc to 3,760 cc.

The original four small IHI turbochargers have been replaced by two larger units from the same manufacturer. Engine power has been boosted from 610 hp DIN (448 kW) and 650 Nm (479 ft-lbs) of torque to 680 hp DIN (500 kW) at 8,000 rpm and 735 Nm (539 ft-lbs). The engine’s specific power output is an unprecedented 181 bhp/liter.

Both the exterior and interior of the car have been completely redesigned. The tires of the Edonis are specifically designed by Michelin. The tires use a system invented by Michelin, the called PAX System.

The 4WD triple-differential drivetrain from the original Bugatti has been replaced with a much simpler and lighter RWD transaxle, thus saving approximately 70 kg from the total weight. Edonis has a total weight of 1,500 kg (3,306.93 lbs), so these power figures give to a power-to-weight ratio of 480 bhp/ton. They claimed performance figures are a top speed of 227 mph (365 kph) and acceleration to 62 mph (100 kph) in 3.9 seconds. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | TOP SPEED | SUPERCAR WORLD]
